I see an occasional tanager, as we have thick woods nearby. Not often enough, though. I've got rose breasted grosbeaks that come every year and stay the summer. They're actually pretty social, and won't flee the feeder just because I'm walking across the yard. Spring is a fascinating time of year here. We have plenty of birds passing through on their migration. I wish the indigo buntings would stick around longer than they do. At least the goldfinches do.

My grosbeak always looks like he's wearing a tuxedo. He's so popular with the ladies.

Beautiful!! Yeah, indigo buntings and grosbeaks are birds that I wish I saw more of, as I only see them very occasionally. Same with baltimore orioles. All very beautiful birds. Goldfinches are a pretty yellow color and I do enjoy the way that they fly.

Yea. That's not like you. Once you're down that much, might as well just wait it out and buy some value when the coast is clear.

The finches show up in huge numbers, and their song in the trees is amazing. VERY skittish, though. Once one flies, they all take off. Their colors are striking, though.
