Marsha, Marsha, Marsha ... I like that idea.
"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."
— Joe Biden on Obama.
Socialism is just the modern word for monarchy.
D.C. has become a Guild System with an hierarchy and line of accession much like the Royal Court or priestly classes.
Private citizens are perfectly able of doing a better job without "apprenticing".

I suggest that the USA repudiate Communist Chinese debt, Bigdog.
Blackburn is a stable genius, like Trump.

He's a big favorite with the ChiComs, isn't he?
What we have seen in other areas shows is that swift travel bans and quarantines appear to have been helpful. Those are the types of measures President Trump and his team employed.
Even given their close proximity to China, Taiwan has relatively few cases. Hence the reason we’re seeing a push for social distancing, travel bans and quarantining the exposed.
There needs to be a heavy reckoning with the CCP for putting the world through this, not only for all the people who are getting ill or dying but for the harm to the world’s economy.
AN UNHOLY TRINITY
Regardless of how much some governments and global voices praise China, Xi and the Communist Party care about dominating the propaganda war because the Wuhan virus has stood their nation on a razor’s edge.
Xi’s own legitimacy is not merely at stake.
His government is ferociously fighting to divert blame and attention, fearing that the world rightfully may utterly reassess modern China, from its technocratic prowess to its safety.
Decades of a carefully curated global image may crumble if nations around the globe start paying attention to China’s lax public health care, incompetent and intrusive government, and generally less developed domestic conditions.
Xi’s fears are well founded, as a global reconsideration of Communist China is long overdue.
Legitimate criticisms and doubts about China’s governance and growth model were long suppressed by Chinese pressure and the willingness of many liberals to buy into the Communist Party’s public line.
Public shaming of foreign corporations, global influence operations, and “elite capture” -- all are policies Beijing has deployed to maintain Communist China’s public image.
That carefully tended image is now cracked.

Had Communist China taken measures earlier to address the Wuhan virus, they could have prevented about 95 per cent of the infections that have now spread throughout the world.
But China's central Communist government only began to take action in January, weeks after the virus had been discovered and after they tried to silence people about it.
It was that failure that allowed it to be distributed all over the world by unwitting travelers.
According to scientists at the University of Southampton, "Chinese virus cases could have been reduced by 66 per cent if appropriate measures were taken a week earlier or by 86 per cent if action began two weeks earlier."
No organized efforts to tackle the outbreak took place until late January, weeks after Dr Li Wenliang tried to warn colleagues about the mystery disease on December 30.
He was among eight people who were punished by Communist police on January 1 for spreading “rumors” about the virus.
The Public Security Bureau made Li sign a letter stating that he had made “false comments” and had “severely disturbed the social order.”
He died of the disease, aged 34, prompting widespread outrage.
Even the failing New York Times admitted that China ignored offers of help in January from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization.
China is now claiming new cases have stopped but it’s hard to know if that’s true.

LOL. She's just throwing red meat to her constituents to distract them from Tennessee's lack of preparedness. NFW is China going to forgive $1T in debt.

More broadly, the pandemic of 2020 has brought doubts about globalization into the mainstream.
Decades of open borders, unceasing intercontinental travel, study abroad, just-in-time inventory systems, and the like have created unexpected vulnerabilities in populations and economies thanks to unfettered openness.
To worry about such weaknesses is not to adopt a Luddite reactionary stance, but to try and salvage the bases of the post-World War II global economic architecture.
Here's a thought: While self-quarantining with their families in multimillion-dollar Manhattan co-ops, Wall Street wives ought to have a chat with their Master of the Universe husbands about China, globalism and political correctness. Those are the vectors of their robber-baron wealth.
Thanks to “globalism” -- i.e., cheap goods from China -- we’ve gotten many wondrous things, for example:
-- Toothpaste on American shelves made with a poison found in antifreeze;
-- Toxic Chinese drywall installed in about 100,000 U.S. homes, emitting noxious fumes that destroyed electrical wiring and metal fixtures and sickened homeowners. Replacement of the drywall, pipes and wiring cost Americans billions of dollars.
-- Hundreds, possibly thousands, of American dogs killed by melamine-laced Chinese dog food in 2007.
-- The loss of about 200,000 beautiful maple trees lining the streets of small New England towns, eaten by Asian long-horned beetles that arrived on Chinese cargo ships in 1996. The U.S. taxpayer spends hundreds of millions of dollars to eradicate the repeated outbreaks that continue to this day, despite promises from the Chinese to do better.
-- Viral pandemics -- H1N1 (from China), bird flu (from China), SARS (from China) and now the Wuhan virus (from China).
Is it really worth paying $3 for a T-shirt at Walmart, rather than $9?
The precise reason Chinese goods are so cheap is that they skip the crucial quality-control step.

State department propaganda. Blackburn should be imprisoned for helping to spread the virus. No one bit donald Trump and the Republican Party is responsible for coronavirus in America. I thank Xi for at least protecting America where trump did not, we should hand over Trumps entire estate to the Chinese people as thanks.
