Hoarding one or two years of toilet paper is not putting your family first. It's being an a-hole to your neighbor when he can't buy what he needs. Otherwise, I agree, you should put your family first.

Been Preparing for quite some time. Way before any of this stuff happened. Prepared smartly,...a little at a time. Didnt hoard,..just built up over time. Soon we had enuff foodstores built up to last probably three months or so. All non perishable stuff. Fresh water, purification devices , and tabs as well. If anything its kinda handy. If were cooking and discover we are out of something in the pantry,....we can always go down to our STORE in the basement and grab what we need instead of having to run to the actual grocery store....LOL Use up some stuff? No problem, simply replace as needed that way you arent draining down your emergency food stores.

Being prepared for a few weeks is fine. Everyone should have such supplies on hand for any natural disaster but there is a difference between preparedness and panic buying.
