First of all, we haven't had the disease "since December", the first confirmed case in the US was February.

Secondly, we don't know how many people are infected because Trump didn't want the WHO tests every other country was using.

Thirdly, the economic effects will be felt through the year, and even Trump now says we could have a recession.

First *confirmed* case was on 1/15 and since patient zero was infected for at least two weeks before he presented to the hospital for treatment, the virus has been here since December.

They are probably going to lose the Senate...by how many votes is the question.

There are 23 GOP Senators up for re-election this year.

At least 4 of them are in competitive races right now, but that is going to increase as this pandemic gets worse.

It's a likely possibility that Trump will lose the election if we're in a recession much past mid-summer. Time will tell.
