    should they? No matter what?

Does that mean we should eliminate drinking age? helmet laws? seat belt laws? laws against people selling their organs?

    inquiring minds want to know

Depends on what you mean by "own bodies".

When what someone does with his/her own body produces results/problems which they can't afford to take care of themselves, does that mean care for those things can be denied even if it means death to that person?

Ever notice how those that want freedoms for things they support don't have a problem with laws related to the things you mentioned?

I have noticed that. I guess it could be a coincidence, but I suspect they are just being selective

IMO, for most issues. Of course there are exceptions, but I generally think things should be left to the states.

No, because that would mean we'd have to ban everything from alcohol to chocolate to sitting down for too long.

So you don't believe people should be able to do with their bodies what they want. Sounds like you're the authoritarian type.

So you believe people should be able to do what they want related to their own bodies without being personally responsible for the results?

We wouldn't have to ban any of those just hold people doing things with their own body that caused harm personally responsible up to, and including, death if they couldn't personally pay for their personal choices.

Notice how I said "adults." No, we shouldn't eliminate the drinking age because children shouldn't be allowed to do whatever they want with their own bodies.
As for all those other laws, sure. If an adult wants to sell their own organs or otherwise risk their life, they should have that right.

What experience, I've seen that those saying "exceptions" being the type that support exceptions for personal reasons only.

The drinking age, in most States, is 21. Someone is an adult at 18. Does that mean you believe someone is an adult at 18 or 21?
