Biden wants to treat being black as a qualification for being on the supreme court. Bernie wants to help non-white people sell marijuana. Both candidates are showing favoritism to non-white people when they should be working for the public.

I don't see liberals celebrating Clarence Thomas being on the Supreme Court in the name of our public institutions looking like America. While Biden is clearly pandering here there is absolutely nothing wrong with having a black woman on the Supreme Court. At the end of the day, if he is President, he's going to appoint someone who shares his beliefs just as anyone on the right would. If goes without saying Biden wouldn't appoint a conservative black woman. It is of course implied this woman would be liberal.

Now one could say a liberal black woman would bring a different perspective to the court than a liberal (white) male and that's definitely possible. But as Justice Thomas shows not everyone is monolithic.

How much do you know about the historical oppression of black people in this country? Do you understand the concept of generational wealth? Most arrests/convictions for marijuana have been largely non-white. The drug war for decades has purposefully targeted and destroyed communities of color - it is only right that now when it's legal they use that new market as revenue to rebuild via government backed loans. The government isn't stopping whites from opening up shop - they don't have to deal with the racism that often denies PoC loans at private banks.
