“Here's the exchange between Sanders and Anderson Cooper on "60 Minutes":
Cooper: Do you know how all -- how much though? I mean, do you have a price tag for -- for all of this?
Sanders: We do. I mean, you know, and -- and-- the price tag is -- it will be substantially less than letting the current system go. I think it's about $30 trillion.
Cooper: That's just for "Medicare for All," you're talking about?”...

And he’s just grabbing that number out of the air.

Factor in deleting fracking—the jobs that would cost, which would put millions on food stamps and the social costs [increase in alcohol and drug abuse] that would pile up on top of that. Just fricking no.

Before we go full socialist on healthcare let’s at least *try* a few things like opening the health insurance market up. Make them compete across state lines like *every other* insurance. Do something about the outrageous drug prices. It’s not like we’re out of other options.

Or if Bernie wants to advocate ‘free’ healthcare at least be honest about it. Bernie should say ‘we are going to do this but because it’s going to take a bureaucratic army to administer it, the government will no longer be able to afford to offer pension plans to new government employees’.

Because that is EXACTLY what is going to happen to workers in the private sector after you implement all this madness.

The 64K question is...will the old Socialist fanatic, Bernie, get another 600K lakefront home (his fourth?) after the DNC rigs the Primaries against him...again?

Honestly, I’m actually on the rigger’s side on this lol.

There are worse things than Trump losing—namely President Bernie. We are teetering on some dangerous territory.

Democrat Party: get your fricking act together.

Of all the Democrats, wouldn’t Bernie be the easiest to beat.

The Democrats realize this too. That’s why he is being grilled by CNN and slimed as a Nazi by “tingle down my leg” Chris Matthews.

Trump would probably beat Bernie, and yeah, maybe even in a landslide.

But the ‘probably’ is too troublesome for me. Team Riggers here.

Landslides are good unless you are Hillary.

Bernie would be the easiest candidate for Trump to decimate in a debate. The Republican attack ads with videos of Bernie praising Cuba, China, Russia and Venezuela would be repeated hourly.

    I agree.

On paper, it looks good. Trump would do a barrage of negative ads—and they would be accurate.

But elections can be unpredictable things. It’s not worth the risk to me.

Sanders must have forgotten he had already said Medicare For None would cost between 30 and 40 trillion. All of Bernie's proposals together would cost close to 100 trillion dollars. This is beyond even pie in the sky, and more along the lines of Fantasyland. There is literally no way to pay for it all, even if Bernie were to confiscate the entire wealth of every American citizen, it would not even come close to paying for this boondoggle.

Many of us already are—in effect.

My paychecks have plenty of Medicare/Medicaid/state worker insurance monies in them.

And I can tell you it sucks. Our ‘raises’ are garbage.

Yup, the billionaires would just be first.

The only sane way to approach it would to focus on *one* freebie and be honest with voters about it. You can’t just do away with fracking, implement a Green Deal, pay for everyone’s healthcare and etc. It’s madness.

Say ‘Listen, we’re going to do Medicare for all but it’s going to take a lot of money to do it. It might even mean reducing SS benefits and a payroll tax to fund it. Yes, that means your taxes will go up—probably quite a bit. It may mean drastically reducing the size of government, cutting out HUD and HUD benefits, Department of Agriculture, DHS—all it, is going to be on the table’.

That’s the sane/honest approach. Problem is, it can’t be sold honestly.

The problem is, the billionaires would simply take their money and leave. Leaving the rest of us to take up the slack. France already tried the wealth tax nonsense, how'd that work out for them?

Not good and it’s totally predictable.

It already happens on the state level here. People are leaving the expensive blue states. Problem is, they take their ‘voting habits’ with them.

And these people are supposedly smarter than us Red State yokels lol.
