No, don't really care, only followed the RCP average, and anyone who followed the election knew it was going to be close, portraying it as if it was Dewey/Truman is erroneous

I guess he was close enough on the popular vote percentage.

    538 2016 forecast:

Who will win the presidency? Hillary Clinton, 71.4% Donald trump, 28.6%

Electoral votes: Hillary Clinton, 302.2 Donald trump, 235.0

Perhaps "big fan" wasn't the right term to use. I held him above all the others when it came to forecasting. Now I'm just lumping him in with the rest on an equal basis.

I don't know if there is any go-to person for polling anymore.

You don't know squat about what I watch or where I get my information, and it just makes you look stupid to pretend you do.

Did any professional forecaster predict a Trump victory?

    I found some on google.

Professor Allan Lichtman, who has correctly predicted the winner of the popular vote in every presidential election since 1984.

The USC/LA Times tracking poll and the Investor's Business Daily/TIPP tracking poll.

Helmut Norpoth, using only a single predictor—the two nominees relative performance in the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries)—forecasts a high likelihood of a comfortable Trump victory while Fair’s model predicts a near landslide Trump victory. In fact, Norpoth recently suggested, without the modesty usually associated with academic modeling, that a Trump victory is “a virtual certainty.”

Not surprising USC got it right because that’s how we roll but Silver’s 70 to 30% prediction doesn’t seem all that far off from what most people had

Alan Lichtman predicted Trump's election and impeachment. He is not a pollster but a history professor who uses a formula to predict presidential elections.

The stupidity of the liberal lunatics that post on this site never ceases to amaze me. Dumb beyond any help or hope.
