Raygun kicked off the destruction of the middle class. Should have told him to shove his trickle down voodoo up his ass.

    Dear Red-State Trump Voter,
Let’s face it, guys: We’re done.

It is a tragedy that so much of the work that so many men and women toiled at for so long to make this a better country, and a better world, has been thrown away, leaving us all in such needless peril.

This is why our separation in all but name is necessary.

Bernie can yammer on all day about "da people" -when push comes to shove the lobbiests
would be all over politicians seeking special tax relief
Again, you are not listening to Bernie, all the "ands, if's, and buts" you are coming up with he intends to do away with, you are viewing it thru 20th Century glasses, and the increased tax would fall on the upper levels of income and the subsides would be gone, there is a reason Wall Street definately want to see Bernie disappear

agree, but it was going to happen with globalization anyways ( to an extent).
NAFTA was the real "bleeding" of jobs / and China became predatory, blowing pass any WTO guards.
I think it was a clusterf*ck of the globalists, and the politicians that sold us out

How Reaganomics Killed America’s Middle Class

There's nothing "normal" about having a middle class. Having a middle class is a choice that a society has to make, and it's a choice we need to make again in this generation, if we want to stop the destruction of the remnants of the last generation's middle class.

Despite what you might read in the Wall Street Journal or see on Fox News, capitalism is not an economic system that produces a middle class. In fact, if left to its own devices, capitalism tends towards vast levels of inequality and monopoly. The natural and most stable state of capitalism actually looks a lot like the Victorian England depicted in Charles Dickens' novels.

At the top there is a very small class of superrich. Below them, there is a slightly larger, but still very small, "middle" class of professionals and mercantilists - doctor, lawyers, shop-owners - who help keep things running for the superrich and supply the working poor with their needs. And at the very bottom there is the great mass of people - typically over 90 percent of the population - who make up the working poor. They have no wealth - in fact they're typically in debt most of their lives - and can barely survive on what little money they make.
So, for average working people, there is no such thing as a middle class in "normal" capitalism. Wealth accumulates at the very top among the elites, not among everyday working people. Inequality is the default option.

ROFL..you can tell me what Bernie WANTS, but I'm telling you what Congress WILL DO.

It doesn't matter this is a new century. when the rich get hit with higher taxes, the lobby for lower taxes thru exemptions, etc.
Politicians listen to the rich, because they have the clout. you can't re-invent that relationship.
It would take a tax code without exemptions, and that's not gonna happen

.It provides healthcare. That allows your economic mobility. You can start a business and not live in fear of not having health coverage. You can change jobs and not have a health coverage gap. You do not have to pay for employee healthcare and servicing it.
Socialism provides much and that includes opportunity. Our international corporations would be able to compete better without the healthcare costs having to folded into their price structures.
What we have is simply wrong.
Socialism provides that. It gives a cheap education. Can you see what that does for opportunity and the country? A more educated populace is good for a nation.

Can you provide some evidence for this assertion? Prove it or your entire screed lacks any credibility.

Despite parts in minor films such as The Voice of the Turtle and That Hagen Girl, he became increasingly preoccupied with his more important role during Hollywood's "Red Scare" as head of the Screen Actors Guild. It was revealed last week that the future President played another role as well: as a secret FBI informant, code name T-10.

According to an article published in the San Jose Mercury News, documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act indicate that Reagan and his first wife, Actress Jane Wyman, provided federal agents with the names of actors they believed were Communist sympathizers."
