The reason Putin likes it when the USA is having these problems, is because then he can say to his people: "Aren't you glad you're a Russian?"

That last thing he would want would be for America to work through it's problems and learn how more effectively discuss issues, and reach more agreement on what to do about things, possible compromises so each side gets something. Basically, if America is successful. That makes Putin look bad, because Russia is so corrupt. As long as he can keep the rest of the world looking worse than Russia, he can maintain his power.

Putin's goal is to mess up as many other countries as possible, any way he can.

    I don't find that amusing.

Putin doesn't give a damn about a "divided USA" that's old Cold War mentality when the USSR
was a threat to the west/eastern Europe.

Putin has his hands full with Russia's stagnant, sanctioned economy - he doesn't care about the USA society

Fire the person with the bad news. Replace him with a neophyte who knows nothing about how to do the job. But he is totally loyal to DT personally.

"The Times reported that lawmakers were told Russia is interfering in the 2020 election specifically to get Trump reelected."

"After the classified briefing, Trump brought Maguire into the Oval Office for a "dressing down," The Post reported."

"According to The Post, the briefing was the "catalyst" for the president's decision to replace Maguire with Richard Grenell, a controversial figure and fierce loyalist who has served as the US ambassador to Germany."

Grenell has no experience or background in intelligence but is now charged with overseeing the 17 agencies that make up the US intelligence community."

"Trump has continued to exhibit skepticism, despite ongoing warnings from the US intelligence community about the potential for Russia, among other countries, to interfere in the 2020 election.

The US intelligence community, which the president has repeatedly expressed animosity toward over the course of his tenure, concluded with high confidence in 2017 that Russia interfered in 2016 to propel Trump to the Oval Office.

The Senate Intelligence Committee in July 2018 released a report backing up the intelligence community's findings.

In October, the committee released a report urging Trump to "reinforce with the public the danger" posed by foreign election interference leading up to the 2020 election."

Business Insider Story follows similar stories in Washington Post and New York Times
Now it is, according to Trump, "Democrat disinformation," "Democrat disinformation" that came directly from Trump's own intelligence services, his appointees, not Obama's, not the "deep state," Trump's own, is it any wonder he quickly fired those for reporting the facts to Congress which is thier responsibility

He's out of control. He won't listen to anybody who tells him something he doesn't want to hear. And he doesn't even want anybody on his team who will ever tell him something he doesn't want to hear. He's stuffing government with yes-men. What could possibly go wrong?

Take a wild guess why their economy is struggling.

Because their government is so corrupt.

He sure as heck doesn't want other countries looking better than his, doesn't want Russians to see that.

He is a ruthless ex KGB guy who has the power to mess things up for other countries.

And you don't think he's gonna use it?

    OK, then.

    I disagree.

economic performance has nothing to do with "corruption" - or minimally so
Putin has been going after that as well
    https://www.voanews.com/europe/new-r...ure-corruption
Among Putin measures lauded by outside experts are e-governance efforts and a public blacklist of government officials fired over a “loss of confidence.”

State media portray Putin as something of an anti-corruption folk hero, seemingly alone trying to rein in Russia’s vast network of amoral civil servants.

A popular improv sketch show famously runs skits showing Putin lambasting terrified corrupt officials with a sudden appearance and kick in the pants, and the All Russia People'sFront, a Putin-linked political coalition, published a series of animated videos showing Putin catching and graphically executing corrupt regional politicians.
Meanwhile it’s not uncommon to see salacious state media TV reports detailing sting operations against governors, policemen and bureaucrats, often caught holding bags of cash.

    ~~

the sanctions ( denying the oligarchs access to western banks) and preventing Ukraine from joining Russia's Eurasian Economic Union ( what the Euromaidan was all about) have driven Russia not to use dollars for exchange.
That of course makes trade with the west almost impossible, and is why China and Russia have their own
trade not done in western currencies

Without banking or trade, Russia is reduced to a "glorified gas station" as McCain put it

Liberals have proclaimed for decades that demographics are destiny and that the Republican Party will die out/be destroyed yet here we are.

Now maybe you are just trolling but you’re proclaiming the same thing just the opposite side. What exactly is Trump doing that will eliminate the Democratic Party that didn’t occur when Nixon and Reagan won 49 states each?

I think it’s more what the democrats are doing to themselves.

Odds are good the democrats are going to nominate an actual socialist for president. That’s crossing the Rubicon and climbing up the bank on the other side.

I agree with Stone: the Democrat party—as we know it, may be on the way out.
Coup has started. First of many steps. Impeachment will follow ultimately~WB attorney Mark Zaid, January 2017

Bottom line, "Democrat disinformation" doesn't come Trump own intelligence services, it is his own people, it didn't come from Democrats, Trump lied, shocker
