With all the handwringing from the left and democrat media no one seems to be able to justify why Stone deserved a 9 year sentence when perpetrators of ‘non-victimless’ crimes get much less—every day. Hell, in NYC they turn them back out on the street on the same day.

The subtext to this Tempest in a Tea Pot is that we have a real problem with our ‘justice’ system. It is over run with over zealous and agenda driven prosecutors.

That’s what’s so absurd about it.

Stone’s lies were of zero consequence: he was caught up in an Investigation to Nowhere; he apparently told some fibs and kinda/sorta intimidated a witnesses dog or whatever [how do you even make this up?] and they want to lock him up for nine years.

    Gimme a break.

What’s maddening is you have *consequential liars* running around Scot Free. Liars to Congress [Brennan] liars-under-oath [McCabe] and the latter signed a false spy warrant which resulted in the abuse of a private citizen’s constitutional rights. I’m still waiting for Carter Page’s slam dunk law suit against these weasels.

We have a veritable banana republic ‘justice’ system in this country and some people think Trump is the problem.

But the sentence recommendation was the result of the FEDERAL SENTENCING GUIDELINES WORKSHEET. Its not an arbitrary thing, and it is policy/law for the DOJ to use it for recommendations. Additionally, they did not pull it, they only said they did, then they went into court and advocated for it. That is how it works, and the judge did as judges usually do, she split the DOJ and Deference recomendations.

They provided the guidelines. That is all. They recommended according to the book.

By the book, then Trump and Barr freaked.

The new prosecutor told the judge he would not be bullied by Barr or Trump and went back to the original recommendations.

What crime was Stone being investigated for?
