She is doing remarkably well. She lives alone in a very well kept apartment, still drives and manages all of her finances with extreme accuracy. The cancer drugs she takes are experimental and don't cost her anything. Hopefully these drugs will help reduce the number of cancer patients that need chemo, and possibly help to cure this horrific disease.

In James 3:10 (NKJV), it is expressed that having the same mouth to bless and curse is dishonorable to the Lord. When you are a follower of Christ, you are representing the Lord, not only in what you do but in what you say, think, and feel. If you are praising God one moment but cursing up a storm in the next moment, your witness as being one in mind with God is exposed as weak.

Since this is a political discussion board, consider this. Imagine if we had NOT enacted the Medicare laws back in the 1960s. Her health care cost burden would fall upon both her and you (and any siblings you might have), or she would have had to do without and quite likely would not be enjoying life today. Your own ability to afford to enjoy life would have been drastically affected if you were having to pony up for her medical bills as well as your own. You were most likely a child when that Act was passed in the mid-60s, so you probably do not recall the right wing at that time screaming the same screams as they do today about "socialism" and "government death panels" and the like.

As it is now, the reason that 95 year old guy skips cancer treatment is because he's ready to die, not because medicare won't pay.

As it is now, people of all ages take expenses medicines for minor annoyances, or use emergency services, for things they wouldn't worry about if they had to pay out of pocket. Now governments are paying for cosmetic operations for those with gender-identity disorder.
