OK! Let's discuss.
Srormy Daniels tells Donald Trump she is going to sell her story of their affair to a magazine. Is that a crime? NO!
You know why? Because she was telling the truth and was just giving Donald Trump fair warning in advance.
Now, when Donald Turned around and said, "I'm going to have my attorney send you $130,000 to keep you quiet! Was he doing anything illegal? NO!
BUT, it was those 4 $35,000 payments that reimbursed Michael Cohen that were illegal. Specifically, prosecutors argued that these payments were made “with the intent to influence the 2016 presidential election” and should have been subject to campaign finance limits. (The legal limit for making a donation to a political campaign at that time was $2,700.
Now if Stormy Daniels had made it all up, and tried to Blackmail Donald Trump she could have been prosecuted for extortion and blackmail.
And if it wasn't true Donald Trump would have never paid her a red cent and reported it to the FBI.
