Something I'd never admit to.
I don't believe a word any Trump lover says.
You keep telling yourself that.
Irrelevant and beside the point.
The point is that you were the same person in 2000 as you were in 2016 and that you are now, and anyone who'd vote for trump at ANY point in their life wouldn't have been likely to do anything out of principle even in the past, because to vote for or even publicly express support for Trump indicates a lack of ever having had any principles.
As usual, you got it bass-backwards, Merle.
The majority of the Repugnant Greedy Totalitarian Bigot Party have been far reich-wing extremists for decades.
And up until fairly recently, the vast majority of Democrats were common sense moderates like the Clintons.
This recent influx of progressive extreme left ding-a-lings and Bernie-bot dreamers is a phenomenon which I hope is temporary and short-lived.

He lost in the 2016 primary pretty convincingly, so how does that indicate to you that he's popular amongst the majority of Democrats? Keeping in mind that he's not really even a Democrat.
Old BS only becomes a DINO every four years when he wants to hijack the DNC's election apparatus for his own self-serving political ends.
And yes, many Democrats will probably reluctantly vote for him if he's the nominee (I won't but most probably will) but that could be said of any of the Dem candidates because any one of them would be a breath of fresh air after four years in the sewer of Trump.
But don't fool yourself into thinking the majority of Dems are behind him or that we don't recognize the damage he could inflict on the country by becoming our 2020 candidate.
They have a Socialist as a candidate and Democrats will vote for a Socialist if he is the nominee.
A fact.
Democrats would vote for a socialist over a Capitalist.
Unbelievable.
