I am hoping that Michael Bloomberg will be the nominee. My guess is that the second spot on my "hope" ticket, would be a woman or a man "of color."

My feelings are that it will be a very, very uphill fight no matter how the Democratic Party ticket sorts out. Sanders is such a huge dividing element in the fight, he and his supporters will impact negatively whether he wins or loses. In any case, my guess is that the demographics of the states following Iowa and New Hampshire, mean that the first and second place showings are probably over for him at this point.

What it shows is that nothing is a done deal. It's all wide open. If Bernie gets the nom all is definitely not lost. Sure, it's a tough sell to get the mushy middle to accept socialism, but that's nothing more than a challenge. So at that point ya gotta say: 'Is it worth it?' One thing's fur sure. The hate cult is fired up and they are going to vote no matter what. The only question mark is: will progressives be motivated enough to come out and save the planet from idiocy. It's tough for us now because we are scattered and divided with so many candidates. They have the one. There's no mystery for them. We have question marks. That will change. After the DNC we will have one candidate and the match will be on. Then we will see if we can bring all these scattered elements together for one massive push to evict IMPOTUS.

STATES...should not have any say in the elections, RB. They are areas of land. PEOPLE should have the choice...not areas of land.

But, in order to form this Union in the situation that existed when it was formed...areas of land had to be considered...so we are stuck with it. I see no way to do away with the Electoral College...although I think it to be an antiquated piece of crap which will always favor conservatives.

I am hoping the long-shot run of Bloomberg proves fruitful. And then I am hoping the Sanders supporters will vote for him, or whichever other candidate is successful.

The country is not ready for Sanders just yet.

We often talk politics at school. The program I am in (Native American Studies) has students with a lot of interest in politics. Most of them are for either Buttigieg or Sanders. But unlike last time, if Sanders doesn't get the nomination they are saying that they are prepared to vote for whoever does. The goal is to remove TRE45ON. I don't know if this energy and interest is common across the country in college students, but I'm hoping so. They are very energized where we're at.
