I tried that in the RAF where beards were out. Didn't do much for me, and changed colour alarmingly when I took up snuff to cover the times when smoking was verboten!

Beards are kind of the same way. When we were coming up, beards were a "hippie" thing and most employers forbid employees to wear them. Now they're everywhere; even some of the police officers in town have (neatly-trimmed) beards!
If it's accepted for women to wear beards now, why can't we see equal pay?
Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

I love the acceptance of people reflecting their insides on their outsides

Hair especially is a great thing having freedom

some guys just are born to have beards

getting 5 oclock shadows by noon

    some have joe dirts naturally

allowing people to be themselves is always good

Hense I also love the push to allow natural and historical hairstyles for those who have naturally curly hair

as in the black and Jewish community

when I was young it was utterly ridiculous how people would give someone shit for their hair being a quarter inch too long

    Im glad its changing
    You can have it

    I'll keep this

Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

I did have the start of a beard when I was in the hospital, but shaved it when I got out. It was just too annoying.
The GF says I'd look younger if I shaved my mustache, but at this stage in the game, it really doesn't matter.

He probably thought it just looked cool, and did not put a lot of thought into it.

Cultural appropriation is fraught with risk. A fair number of parents like to give Russian names to their girls. Sasha is okay because technically it is a diminutive that can be either male or female. I have run across a couple of women named Misha and I did not have the heart to tell them it is the Russian diminutive name for Michael

Trying to use languages of which you have no grasp is a great mistake. Bad men in our pubs spend far too much time teaching English people to say very rude things about their Country in 'Welsh'., and polite people thereafter are to embarrassed to put them right when they go round enunciating!

Yeah, I don't think there's enough alcohol in Portland (Portland, Oregon, has the most breweries and independent microbreweries of any city in the world) to make that look good!

LOL... Yep... First time I recall someone doing it was back in the 90's some time

Jason, a neighbor kid wanted to get his initial in a Chinese character............

I told him there is no J in Chinese but he got it anyway..... When he showed it to me on his shoulder I must of had "that look" as he volunteered that yea there was no J but this sounded like it.. Whatever the hell that means. ................
