So the furthest left in American politics is way to the right of Thatcher in British politics.
Do you really, really believe that a fanatical stone Socialist will be the nominee?

Do you really, really want a Socialist economic unit to replace free markets and Capitalism?

    Of course you do.

    It won’t happen.

Perhaps the pure as snow Socialism in Venezuela would be your choice. Carry food with you.

One of the main problems with Sanders is he fundamentally hates America. Ask him about what is going on anywhere in the world and you will get an answer that says its Americas fault.

Bernie is a millionaire who owns 3 homes. IOW, a hypocrite on the highest order.

I hope he is the nominee. He'd be one of the easiest to beat.

There has not been a new nuclear power start in 50 years. The last application that led to a nuclear power plant was in 1969. Obama tried to get some new starts, but only a few moderate Democrats were willing to support him. He got some loan guarantees slipped into budgets, but it was a fight to get a little advancement. trump is at best not willing to use any of his political capital for nuclear power, and at worst hostile to nuclear power. All the nuclear power plants are getting ready to retire. If you assume trump is reelected, and given the decade or two of lead time for a nuclear power plant, there will be no nuclear power in America sometime in the foreseeable future.

Nuclear powers only hope is a moderate Democrat like Biden or Warren. Both are pragmatic, so might support nuclear power.

Hillary Clinton is not "serious opposition"? She was able to beat trump in the popular vote, so if she is not serious opposition, then trump must be a real joke.

Sanders has 50 years of election history. He has won and lost elections. He has faced off against almost every conceivable kind of candidate. Your statement is wishful thinking.

He might not be up to the job. But he is definitely better than trump.

Sanders can keep focussed on a topic, and can remember facts and arguments about a topic. trump has some major problems with the focus, and memory one would expect from a sane person. He contradicts himself within a sentence. He curses like a stroke victim. He starts screaming random things like "I like Ike" for minutes at a time. He actually humped the American Flag out of "patriotism", and claims he gets military advice from a raisin.

We need someone who will confront trump in a debate. But, that assumes that trump is stupid enough to actually show up to a debate. There is a very real chance trump will refuse to debate.
Please stop with the Hillary beat Trump in the overall popular vote nonsense until you can show me in the Constitution that's how we elect a President.

All this bullshit going on now is nothing more than pussies like from the left still mad Hillary got her ass kicked in the manner we actually do elect a President.

Nobody has really challenged Bernie throughout his life and now that people are going after him specifically he is proving spineless.
The Clinton e-mail thing was bullshit.
    What Biden corruption?
    Fuck Cenk.
That was a move that helped him win black supporters.

Old crazy Bernie is 78 years old. If he were to be elected (he won’t be) after two years he would be 80 years old. He is a fanatical stone Socialist who would destroy the greatest economic unit in history, free markets and Capitalism.

It’s not going to happen. He won’t even be the nominee.

I’m surprised that the Democrats don’t have an ISIS member for a candidate.

They had an apology tour for the Iranian terrorist, Soleiman ...oh he’s dead.

I wouldn’t bet on that lol.

The establishment democrats/DNC and the corrupt democrat media are doing everything in their power to stop him but Bernie is still up in the polls. Bernie could totally get the nomination. Not saying he will, but it could definitely happen.

If that would happen, Trump would probably beat him. Big business/small business donors would run in the opposite direction of Bernie Sanders in the general. Trump would beat him over the head with his economic numbers, jobs numbers and etc. Frame it as a capitalism vs socialism election.

Could hardly look better for Trump, on paper at least.

If Bernie should get in the WH? He gets to set the agenda but he still has to work through Congress and I don’t see him getting too far. What initiatives he is successful with would spell the end of the Trump Economy—and that may be enough for the country to get over its flirtation with socialism. Imagine what even a partial implementation of the Green Deal would do to the economy.

It could be a cloud with a sliver lining.

He’s up in Iowa but not nationally.

You will never go broke underestimating the proclivity for Democrats to be stupid.

Perhaps he will be the nominee.

If he wins, you can stick a fork in America

I agree, although unendorsing Cenk probably isn't a bad idea. That guy's a nut.
