When considering that PP is a political organization at this point, it shouldn't be receiving public funds. I say this even as someone who is pro-choice.
Apparently, it's a first. No other REP president has. Remember, what he told STERN...
Trump sets a new GOP standard in the abortion fight
Three years into his presidency, the once-unapologetic womanizer has not only earned the trust of the anti-abortion community — he’s irrevocably changed its standards for future Republican leaders.

Two decades after Donald Trump described himself as “pro-choice in every respect,” abortion opponents now unanimously regard him as their greatest convert and champion.
So it wasn’t a surprise to the thousands of March for Life participants gathered on the National Mall on Friday that Trump became the first president to personally address them. Three years into his presidency, the once-unapologetic womanizer has not only earned the trust of the anti-abortion community, he’s irrevocably changed its standards for future Republican leaders.
In the post-Trump era, declaring oneself “pro-life” will no longer suffice. Wannabe presidents and GOP congressional candidates must now prove it.
“Every year, I’ve listened to Republicans tell us how pro-life they are. But a couple of years ago, when they had the House and the Senate and the presidency, we didn’t defund Planned Parenthood,” said Lance Lohr, a resident of Lancaster County, Pa., who attended his 10th March for Life on Friday.
“I go by people’s actions,” he continued, “and in Trump's case I believe he is pro-life because of what he’s done.”

HE FACED THE OBVIOUS TRUTH ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF LIFE..as HAVE MOST AMERICANS, BY FAR.
TRUMP WILL TAKE FORTY STATES...UNLESS THE SAME IDIOTS WHO BROUGHT US THE 2020 DUNCE-O-CRAT IOWA CLUSTERFUCK CONTINUE THEIR SEDITIOUS ACTIVITIES...THEN HE WILL WIN EVEN MORE ..UNLESS THE RED CHINESE AND DNC COLLUDE, USE A PANDEMIC, AND THEN THE DEMOCRATS VIOLATE ARTICLE II OF THE CONSTITUTION, TO FACILLITATE MILLIONS OF ILLEGAL, UNVETTED, MAIL IN BALLOTS IN THE DARK OF NIGHT..

Take it up with their ACCOUNTANTS.
As far back as 1916, when it was formed, it was considered by SOME to be political. Back when they SMUGGLED diaphragms into the US in the bottom of whiskey barrels and snuck 'pamphlets' into women's hands about how to have less than than 7, 8, 9...kids.

They literally have events to support Democratic candidates. That's not even remotely politically neutral.
Ask yourself this: if there was a nonprofit organization for public health that routinely received funding from the GOP and advocated for GOP candidates, would you want them to also receive public funding? I wouldn't.

We do actually penalize them. Now admittedly, we don't enforce this as consistently as we should. And yes, Trump did water it down a bit. That's one of the things he's done that I disagree with.
