The evidence portion of the trial has not even started yet, so far all we’ve seen is opening statements from the House.

U.S.—President Trump's historic impeachment trial began today, but nobody noticed as everyone was too excited about Taco Tuesday to care.

"Oh, I guess there's some impeachment thing happen--oh man! I almost forgot: it's taco Tuesday!" one man in New Mexico remarked. "Man, as soon as I get off work, I'm going to get some delicious street tacos for half-off. I can never decide between the carne asada and the pork. Ugh--aw, who am I kidding? I'll get both!"

Similar sentiments were expressed by Americans everywhere as people checked the news and were irritated by another mention of impeachment but then were happy when they remembered it was Taco Tuesday at Mexican restaurants all around the nation.

"This is a historic day -- I think I'm gonna go ahead and splurge on the guac for the first time," said Stacy in Texas. "Truly a momentous day for our nation."

Frantic impeachment managers thought about pushing things back a day so as not to be eclipsed by Taco Tuesday, but then impeachment would just be eclipsed by Wing Wednesday.

You do understand this is a representative government and as such you elect people to think and act for you.

All of it, they did an amazing job. Showing video of Trump admitting his crimes, testimony of witnesses, timeline of events, phone calls, and inter office emails.

No, they represent my thinking if I vote for them sometimes. They do not think for me, they do act in my behalf.

I can’t imagine you allowing anyone to think for you. They may share your views, but that’s not thinking for you.

Think how ridiculous that is, a man who never used a condom, but used a lot of women, yeah, he never paid for an abortion, right

    Why is it "ridiculous"?
People who've "never used a condom"...or "used" other people or "paid for"... or had an abortion... shouldn't be there?

Don’t you think it’s hypocritical, you support abortion but appear at a rally against abortion?

They do think for you by proxy that is what a representative is. Go to a stock holders meeting you give your proxy to someone to vote for you! That person thinks and decides based on what he thinks is the best course. You can think all you want but the actual outcome is based on how your representative thinks is the best action.

Like it or not the representative is thinking for you.

Tell you what call your Senator and tell him/her I think you should vote this way and see how far it gets you. God you are dense if you can't see that.
