Asking why we should come to the aid of an ally in a strategic location, which was voted on by an overwhelming majority of the Senate is like asking if we should care about our own country.

Which, apparently, Republicans place second behind their own party.

And that begs of the question: "What good is having party power in a nation whose power becomes subservient to dictator Putin?"
detente with Russia is not "anti-Americanism" we had the same policy during the Cold War

Besides fighting for Donbas, Crimea also needs to be properly reunited with Ukraine.

    ROFL.

You have no clues about Sevastopol then.
What you should be upset about is our meddling in the Ukraine Euomaidan, that forced the annexation for Sevastopol access

McCain has sometimes revealed a simplistic, Cold War viewpoint of Russia. You have to wonder if, by going to Ukraine and standing on stage with a man accused of being an anti-Semitic neo-Nazi, he may have shown that trait again.

I love how nut**bags can't see beyond their bias riddled hate for trump

    so tell me OP,

suppose all the Senators and all of the reps vote to send Egypt 200 million dollars in aid, it's going through the usual channels, the CBO, etc and then suddenly Egypt bombs their own people, and it's uncovered that they just snuck a nuke into the GAZA strip with plans to detonate.

oh nooo, too late, already been approved, Trump can not stop the aid, must be a conspiracy if he doesn't,

anyone find it striking how eager the Democrats are willing to send hundreds of millions of our money off to foreign lands regardless if circumstance causes for pause sometimes

Republicans supported the military aid to Ukraine until Trump found out some Ukrainians saw through his alternative facts. Do they know they are at the whims of a petulant xenophobe?

Democrats supported the 1 billion dollars in aid to Ukraine that was approved in December 2015, that the Biden and the Obama administration held up until 6 months later in June 2016.

none of this is registering with you is it?

Providing aid to Ukraine was so important to Republicans.

    And then it wasn't.

Well, really, it still is. They just don't want to know why it was inexplicably suspended.

It's the new form of don't ask don't tell.
