Removing a sitting president that the American people elected, by a few radical Democrat Socialists in Congress, is not going to happen.

.There is no crime and there will be no conviction.

These radical Democrat Socialists and anarchists will pay a price in Nov.

I agree it would be a waste of time to call Schiff......but I do want to hear from the whistleblower and everyone on Schiff's staff that worked on drafting the whistleblower's accusations........

I have done some thinking about your post here, you are correct, there is a third way. They can call witnesses for closed depositions, redact them because they believe they are "executive privilege", or some other privilege, and not take the issue to court, thereby keeping what they chose out of the public view, and wrapping this up in about a month.

Is that what you were thinking, or am I missing something else?

This may also be what the Democrats secretly hope will happen, setting up the argument going into the election that Republicans can’t be trusted to protect us from a radical and unstable Trump. That argument won’t work on the die hard Trumppers, but what about the moderates?

Then there is option 2. Less likely than what I’ve outlined above, but it’s possible 4 Republicans vote to allow witnesses, like Bolton and Mulvaney. The result would be a months long protracted slug fest in and out of the courts, with an unpredictable result sometime much closer to November. The effect on the election would by much less predictable. The unpredictability for both sides is why I think they will go for option one.

The American people deserve, either way it swings the pendulum, to have all the facts, and thus we deserve option two! The Senators crave preservation of their power so we will more likely get option 1.
It will be (and with my metaphysical certitude guarantee), option 1. The numbers will be gamed out so this or that moderate CYA Republican can vote for witnesses, but it will fail by a single vote.
Republicans want it over yesterday so they can get about the business of burying their treason from the public consciousness as quickly as possible.

    Why wait?

They all want to vote for that already.

They will only pretend to look at evidence, if they even vote to have any.

    Oh, never mind.

    We all know the answer.

They have to pretend to have a whole trial in order to satisfy themselves it wasn't a sham.

No, you are ignorant of how it works. It would go to the local Court first, there would be a months long briefing schedule, then a ruling, then an appeal to the Circuit Court with a briefing schedule and a ruling, then it would take weeks for the Supreme Court to agree to take it, then another briefing schedule and oral arguments then a ruling. That would take 6 months at a very minimum.

NOW I HOPE THAT GIVES YOU THE INCENTIVE TO VOTE!
Are you implying I don't vote? My people died for the right for me to vote.......I will never sit out a vote and I will never vote for a republican.

Why do you think republicans cheat? Because they know they cannot get the Black vote. Why do you think they suppress the Black vote? Because they know WE WILL NOT VOTE FOR THEM.

So yea......voting doesn't do shit when they are allowed to continue to cheat decade after decade.

The supreme court is a joke........stacked with conservative judges.......just like this impeachment hearing being heard by a conservative judge.

You guys need to wake up and stop thinking republicans will do the right thing. They are not human.
