    Default Trump and religion

Many people think that Donald Trump is indifferent to religion, using it merely for PR purposes, but actually he was raised a Presbyterian.

A notable feature of Presbyterian belief is predestination: souls are saved or damned by the inscrutable and unalterable will of God. A corollary - somewhat downplayed nowadays - is that personal conduct has no bearing on salvation.

O Thou, that in the heavens does dwell,
    As it pleases best Thysel',
Sends ane to Heaven an' ten to Hell,
    For Thy glory,
And no for onie guid or ill
    They've done afore Thee!

Holy Willie's Prayer, by Robert Burns.

MaybeTrump learned of this and, as some might think, took it too literally?
