Default From the Greta files: It is getting hot out there, folks

2019 was 2nd hottest year on record for Earth say NOAA, NASA
NOAA finds ocean heat content was the highest in recorded history

The world’s five warmest years have all occurred since 2015 with nine of the 10 warmest years occurring since 2005, according to scientists from NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI).

It was also the 43rd consecutive year with global land and ocean temperatures, at least nominally, above average.

Ocean heat content, which describes the amount of heat stored in the upper-levels of the ocean, was the highest ever recorded. High ocean-heat content can contribute to sea-level rise.

2019 as ranked by other scientific organizations:
NASA scientists, who conducted a separate but similar analysis, concurred with NOAA’s ranking. NASA also found that 2010-2019 was the hottest decade ever recorded. Scientists from the United Kingdom Met Office determined that 2019 was one of the top-three hottest years on record, and the World Meteorological Organizationoffsite link also ranked 2019 second warmest for the globe.

Man, that's too bad (I guess). I know I haven't been uncomfortably warm for an extended period since I left New Orleans in 1991.

Are you suggesting the earth is in thermodynamc inequilibrium ( if so , how) or that the sun is producing more nrg?
Perhaps you can explain the Magick Bouncing Photon argument. I'm always interested in learning. It seems to me that that argument violates Physical Laws. Specifically the 1st and 2nd Laws of Thermodynamics.

You tried playing this game before, and you insult me by pretending you never played this game before.

Looks like you had a thread ban fail. lol

Pretty stupid to think you can refute actual data showing the drastic warming trend by flinging pseudo-science around like monkeys fling their poo.

It is extraordinary how little peer reviewed science Deniers can muster to support their denial!

On the flipside, I have no reason to threadban that poster. I only exclude sock puppets, and posters who indulge in racism and libel.

    Scientific illiterates are welcome!

Nothing scientific in that post at all. There never is from you guys. Now explain to me thermodynamic inequilibrium and how that is achieved. Believe me I'm very interested. Explain to me how the Magick Proton Effect happens in opposition to the 2nd law of thermodynamics.

Her sources are just so, so more authoritative than yours, mutton-head. You are, after all, a Denier barrel-scraper.

There is no serious person on this planet who any longer denies that the relentless and continuing human emissions of billions of tons of heat-trapping greenhouse gases into the atmosphere - year after year, decade after decade – is, and will have consequential and adverse impacts on the Earth’s climate and ecosystems.

The only people denying it any longer are the stupid, or the willfully dishonest.

Discussing whether global warming is a hoax is not something I will even contemplate stooping to, to entertain your boredom.

They're looking to ban Denier morons from YouTube. They're making the young folks angry.

Were the predictions we made about climate change 20 years ago accurate? Here's a look

When it comes to climate change, did we accurately predict in 2000 what would be happening now?

"What the models correctly told us 20 years ago is that if we continued to add fossil fuels at an increasing rate to the atmosphere, we'd see an increasing range of consequences, including a decline in Arctic sea ice, a rise in sea levels and shifts in precipitation patterns," Weather Underground meteorologist Robert Henson told USA TODAY.

Overall, we're running quite close to the projections made in 2000 for carbon dioxide concentration, global temperature and sea level, Henson said.

Since 1992, the global sea level has risen on average 2.9 millimeters a year. That’s a total of 78.3 millimeters, according to NOAA.

Penn State University meteorologist Michael Mann argued that we underestimated the rate of ice sheet collapse, which has "implications for future sea-level rise."
