He had good intentions of wanting equality and unity. There was no reason to kill him for that. Unfortunately, his death contributed more to his cause than his life did.
I'd say he achieved his goal, well half of it, anyway. Blacks have proven they are equal (sometimes better) and can be very successful in all fields (and not just on them).
When a poor little black girl can work at it and become the richest woman in the US and most other countries as well, I'd say there's equal opportunity now.
