New statistics from the French Interior Ministry have revealed a significant increase in violent crimes with a 12 per cent rise in sexual violence and an 8.5 per cent rise in murders.

The statistics, which were collected by the Interior Ministry’s statistics service SSMI, show that sexual violence increased by 12 per cent last year. In 2018, the increase had been even greater at 19 per cent, French newspaper Le Figaro reports.

“All French regions have experienced increases in the number of rapes, assaults, and sexual harassment recorded by the security forces in 2019, notably Corsica, Centre-Val-de-Loire, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, and Nouvelle-Aquitaine,” the SSMI stated.

According to a report from the French judicial police released in September, the number of murders and attempted murders have gone up 79 per cent

France has a murder rate of 1.3 per 100,000, while America has a murder rate of 5.3. So how long will it take for rises of 8.5% for France to catch up with us? You have a Confederate Flag as an icon, so I do not expect you to be able to answer this math problem.

The answer is 17.2 years. If France keeps getting worse at this rate for the next 17 years, they will be as bad as the USA. log(5.3/1.3)/log(1.085)=17.22656

But I do not live in France, I live here. So I am more concerned with why France is so much safer than the USA, rather than how long it would take for France to get as bad as the USA.

Subtract Detroit, Chicago and Baltimore and it would probably be pretty close to even.

I totally agree that having colonies is a bad idea. It was good for Africa, but terrible for Europe, especially France and the UK.

However, being in the EU has only made it easier for Africans and Middle Easterners to immigrate to France. Because the countries aren't allowed to control their own borders, all it takes is one country to have an open borders policy to screw over every EU country. Thankfully, we are seeing some countries stand up to the EU now on this issue, but France hasn't been one of them.
