Default trump may be the most ignorant president we have ever had

New York City is the capital of world capitalism, and of immeasurable value. It is a little late to the sea wall idea to save it from rising sea levels, but still has time. $119 billion over 25 years is a very reasonable amount of money to spend on such an important project. The beginning of the plan should be presented to Congress around 2022.

Of course when there is such an important project, we hope we have a good, stable president... Which we sure do not have now. Hopefully by 2022 we will have a better President.

President Donald Trump offered a definitively low-tech — and maddening — “solution” to rising sea levels amid global warming: “Get your mops and buckets ready!”

He came up with the snide, unhelpful suggestion in a tweet as he criticized ongoing discussions about the possibility of constructing a sea wall to protect New York City, where low-lying areas have already experienced increased flooding from the encroaching ocean. The president called it an “environmentally unfriendly idea” that will “look terrible.”

A massive 200 Billion Dollar Sea Wall, built around New York to protect it from rare storms, is a costly, foolish & environmentally unfriendly idea that, when needed, probably won’t work anyway. It will also look terrible. Sorry, you’ll just have to get your mops & buckets ready!

The proposal by the Army Corps of Engineers for New York would create a six-mile-long barrier of man-made islands with retractable gates. The cost would not be $200 billion, as Trump falsely claimed, but $119 billion, and it would be constructed over 25 years. A finalized proposal isn’t expected to be presented to Congress until at least 2022. Some experts fear the massive proposal is already too little too late.

Critics were absolutely gobsmacked by Trump’s mocking comeback — particularly because the president has his own “environmentally unfriendly” wall that “looks terrible.” The “environmentally unfriendly” president has also won approval to construct two sea walls at his Turnberry golf resort in Ireland to keep the ocean at bay amid climate change, which Trump has called a “hoax,” but now says is “serious.”

Oh...DEFINITELY Trump is the most ignorant president we've ever had, Walt. There is no "may be" about it.

Fact is, he should take up last place AND next to last. Whichever president is next most ignorant...should not move higher than "third" on that ladder.
ON HIS WORST DAY, JOE BIDEN IS A BETTER PRESIDENT THAN TRUMP WAS ON HIS BEST DAY!

Ignorance can often be forgivable. We don't all have access to a quality education, knowledge, and the leisure to seek it out. TRE45ON, on the other hand, was born with a golden spoon in his mouth. He is that worst thing of all -- *willfully* ignorant. He believes that he already knows all that needs to be known, and dismisses learning anything from his far-more-enlightened staff, aides, military experts and advisers, attorneys, and so on.

Yet your hero Colonel Sanders and heroine Liarwatha would ban fracking and nuclear power, just how fucked in the head do you have to be to think that makes any sense?

I can understand your point on nuclear power, but the fracking argument just falls apart. Fracking increases carbon pollution, not decreases it.

No it doesn't, without fracking the US would been dangerously dependent on the Middle East. Even a decade ago, those recent Iranian drone attacks on the Abqaiq oil processing facility in Saudi Arabia would have caused a huge increase in oil prices and probably a recession as well. Due almost solely to gas fracking and CCGT power stations, CO2 emissions have dropped back to early 90s levels. So explain to me why that's not a good thing? You might also explain how wind and solar can operate without dispatchable power to provide a reliable base load?

He is accusing president Trump who has an Ivy League education, is a multi-billionaire, an author and president of the US of being ignorant, yet he doesn’t know the proper use of the articles...”a” and “an.”

trump could not get into any of the Ivy Leagues through the front door, so he had to go through the back door two years later. He was unable to get into any graduate school, much less an Ivy League one. Obama graduated with high honors from Harvard Law School.

trump inherited a lot of money, and if he just put that money into an indexed fund, he would be much richer today. You know who else would be much richer today, all the people trump stole money from. Obama made all his own money.

trump is an author? Even he admits he hired a ghost writer, because he has trouble stringing a sentence together. Obama made his money by writing his own book.

trump is president of the usa, and not a day goes by without him belittling the office and the entire nation.
