Carbon dating did not exist back then, and besides, it is impossible to carbon date something supposedly that old. If there were a hundred examples or so, you can start estimating based on level of sediment. But, there is only one. The whole story is somewhat vague.

I know carbon dating didn't exist, they didn't even know about isotopes back then. The carbon dating was done in the last few years obviously. As for the carbon dating not being able to go back that far well that's just ocean going bullshit.
