During an interview on Friday, Ron Reagan said his father would never support Mr Trump and blasted him as “a traitorous president who is betraying his country”.

He also criticised the current Republican Party which he described as “entirely illegitimate” and “made up of a bunch of sycophantic traitors mouthing Kremlin propaganda to defend this squalid little man who is occupying the White House”.
Ron's lost his shit to Russiaphobia. another case of TDS takes it's toll

Just another Trump-hater except he can invoke his father lol.

It is an interesting thought though. I expect Reagan might not care for Trump’s style but how could Reagan not like Trump’s judicial appointments and the economy? How could he not like the way Trump handled Iran just two weeks ago?

And omg, could you imagine what Reagan would think about today’s Democrats??

For some years the GOP (with a few honorable exceptions) has been functioning as the Trump Cult. When he goes, where will that leave them? Can they find someone as unprincipled, ignorant and mendacious, but with basic con artist skills, to take over and pull the same trick twice? If not, they're dead.

Obama’s followers were the most cult-like in history.

They actually do not believe that he was the most divisive and ineffectual president since Jimmy Carter.

Ron Reagan Jr. knows what it is to be a disappointment to Ronaldus Magnus. He is the epitome of disappointment

If it weren’t for his fathers name he would be irrelevant

    Interesting question lol.

Trump is unique—historically so, so there’s no replacing him. Hard to say who will lead the party when Trump is gone.

But we won’t go back to squishy Republicans. Those days are gone.

    I hear you?!!

Donald Trump is a traitor and Ronald Reagan would be embarrassed and ashamed of what has become of the Republican Party, the former president’s son has claimed.

“This is a dying party. They either have to remake themselves entirely or they will disappear eventually. Within a decade the Republican Party will be a minor fringe group if it continues going this way,” Mr Reagan told The Daily Beast.

“My father would have been ashamed of this Republican Party. He would have been embarrassed and ashamed that a president of the United States was as incompetent and traitorous as the man occupying the White House now. He’s a disgrace to the office of the presidency.”

Nobody would know better than Ron Reagan Jr.

I remember Reagan. He had morals. He was sincere. I disagreed with a lot of his decisions, but he had widespread popularity. Far more popular than Trump*. When he got caught lying he admitted it. He apologized to the America people. And he never got impeached.

Nancy Reagan would call Trump deplorable.

When asked about considering a vote for Trump, Nancy Reagan would just say no.

"Ronald Prescott Reagan (Ron Reagan), was born on May 20, 1958. He has been very active in liberal politics nearly his entire adult life. At the age of 12, Ron became an atheist and announced to his parents that he would no longer be attending church. He dropped out of Yale after one semester to become a ballet dancer. After his father left the White House, Ron became more active in liberal politics. Ron was always careful to point out that he and his dad weren’t on bad terms because of their political differences. He created some turmoil in the family when he speculated in a memoir that his dad might have started suffering Alzheimer’s symptoms while he was president."

A disgrace to the Reagan family.
