Demographic changes in the US will gain steam over the next decade. Whites will lose a considerable proportion of their share of the population while minorities, particularly Hispanics (Americans whose origins are in the Latin American countries), will increase their share
In the coming decade these demographic changes will have far-reaching consequences in all areas of politics, society, and the economy. By building coalitions, minority groups could assume control of American politics on both the national and state level.

""By building coalitions, minority groups could assume control of American politics on both the national and state level.""
In theory that's definitely possible. In reality minorities, like all Americans, don't all think alike or even have shared experiences.
The idea that having a majority means they will take over is ridiculous. Women are the majority in America. How did that work out for them? White males have established lots of safeguards to hold their power. It will be a long time before minorities can move the vote.

Oh please ! Blacks will keep on killing each other ! You will never be a majority !
As long as any ethnic group, majority or minority, thinks as a monolith, we're not where we need to be.
When one another's complexion becomes as important as the color of shirt or dress he/she's wearing, to all ethnicities, majority and /or minority,
we'll be starting out in the right direction. It may seem like a pipedream, but it's worth at least working at it.
I see where one could think that.
Here, however, is at least my perception of the reality;
the Republican Party hasn't been the party of Lincoln for some time.
Republican policy on both social and economic issues has been nothing but hostile toward the working class in general and minorities in particularly.
To be a comfortable African American voting Republican because "Ive got mine" is not particularly honorable.
White people who have theirs and vote Republican for that reason are not particularly honorable either.
I don't agree with you but you're entitled to your opinion of the party's. We know Uncle Tom is a pejorative used against blacks who don't toe a certain line. So to say don't be monolithic but if you think different you are an Uncle Tom seems in direct contradiction.
