    Default Remember “Bush Derangement Syndrome”?

    Remember “Bush Derangement Syndrome“?

It was a phrase coined by Charles Krauthemer to describe liberals who were against the Iraq war.

    Those liberals were correct!

Even Trump* claims he was against that war.

Now they use the term ”Trump* Derangement Syndrome” to describe those of us who see Trump* is a crook...

    Guess what, we are correct!

Plenty of your fellow lefties said the same thing about Iraq BEFORE Bush was President.. Suddenly, when Bush kicks Gore's ass in an election, you call what Bush said a lie.

Why do you support state sponsored terrorism from Islamic countries?

I don’t, why do you claim I do? Is Trump* a supporter of terrorism because he claimed he was against Iraq?

You're a lefty that calls Bush a liar despite your fellow lefties saying exactly about Iraq what you and they now call lies.

Why don't you have the guts to go to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, knock on the front door of the WHITE House, and ask Trump yourself, BOY? Maybe the Secret Service will mistake you for a terrorist.

It follows from their logic that he is.

I saw a quote yesterday that I thought summed it up pretty well. (I'm paraphrasing here a little) It was 'when Trump contradicts himself, which is not seldom, liberals think both statement are wrong'.

I get disliking someone and not wanting them in office. I know that feeling well. The derangement syndrome sinks in when you are against everything, even scenarios above.

It is amazing to me how quickly certain Americans are to slip right back into the rhetoric that led to the Iraq fiasco. The mess is not even cleaned up yet, and they are going to jump into calling anyone who disagrees with actions that lead to the next fiasco a "Terrorist Lover" and accuse us of being on the side of the Terrorists.

They have the audacity to once again claim being against the actions of a president make you unpatriotic.

Its so funny to me that they called anyone against the Iraq war a "terrorist lover", then elected Trump* who claims he was against the war.

Well, we can't go by anything TRE45ON says. Remember that he was pro-choice till he figured out that the only way to public office was to take up with the Repukes and embrace all their most cherished anti-freedom ideals. Suddenly he loved fetuses! He loves Jesus! He loves America! He loves YOU!

Giving serious disagreement a childish label is a way to minimize the seriousness of the opposition and is a propaganda technique. It is not honest discourse.
On this board ,many rely on it. That silly TDS should be shelved. It adds nothing to an argument.

That's 100% false. And I say that because you assume all disagreement is serious. There are people in the real world and on this board that argue against every single thing and movement the guy does, regardless of what it is. They may have supported the policy or position in the past but now disagree with it because of who is doing it. That's where the derangement syndrome kicks in. There's nothing propaganda about pointing that out.

Republicans will not even invite George Dumbya Bush to their national conventions, even though he was their party leader for the better part of a decade. They pretend like they barely know the guy!

That is a tacit and unspoken admission by Republicans that liberals were correct and prescient in pointing out that Bush was incompetent and completely incapable of being the leader of the free world.

No Republican here, now, or in the future will ever point to George Dumbya Bush as an example of how good their judgement supposedly is in selecting a person suited to be leader of the nation.
