The difference is that it is their choice. Slaves had no choices.

That means there is no difference when it comes to what matters, the end result. In fact, making a choice to produce the same result is worse. It's rather interesting to hear the same blacks, and white bleeding hearts, that push for special programs like affirmative action, reparations, etc. because they claim the history of slavery and discrimination needs to be rectified push for blacks to continue supporting a political party even you admit is a bad choice and is "disastrous".

Incredible season. They defeated 5 of the 9 teams below them in the top 10. The top 4 teams in the preseason. And that run thru the SEC championship and playoff was amazing dominant , offensively and defensively.
Hats off to the SEC too. After a slow start 8-2 in the bowl games.
