Naturally none of the 'progressives' will take a blind bit of notice the same as the Corbynites in the UK. When it comes down to.it most people vote for policies not personalities, this is not some blinding revelation but seemingly it's lost on many.

ironic statement given that in the same week Bloomberg pledged that if elected he will close every coal fired electrical power plant in the US..........wonder what that will do to the canaries and everyone else in the coal mine.........

I don't believe that it is even remotely possible and it is just campaign rhetoric by him. He's a bit more clued up than loony lefties like Liarwatha and Colonel Sanders.

Our thought bubble:. " some issues don't translate to 2020 in the U.S.
Corbyn set records for unpopularity. Apart from his left-wing proposals, the party faced antisemitism crisis and there was general lack of confidence in him as a leader.
Brexit cut across party lines and completely dominated this election. Johnson unified "Leave" backers and won a big majority with 44% of the vote, while the "Remain" vote was split. There's no equivalent issue in the U.S.
Johnson actually made a pitch to the suburbs by ignoring social issues and focusing on things like the environment that are nowhere to be seen on Trump's agenda."

In summary, your source says England foretells US election so he can scare the crap out of people to nominate a moderate which he considers himself to be, but
your own source notes multiple fundamental disconnects.

Here is the glaring point: the USA went down insanity road first, and you are only doing it now. We have rejected it and seen the total failure of the Trump personality cult.

The spread is nearly 13 % despite a locked in immovable pro Trump cult. WE ARE GOING TO DESTROY TRUMP IN NOVEMBER

That's exactly why Corbyn lost, nobody believed a word he said. It was clearly obvious that they just promised everything to attract votes but much of it was uncosted and damaging to the economy.

it does make you think though. Brexit was a harbinger for Trump and they ran Clinton a moderate Dem against him. Maybe if they are treating the election in shitain as a harbinger they could go with the extreme left in warren or Sanders as opposed to a Clinton clone like Biden.

In all these cases it is the "poor white folk" labour/dems are losing. The rustbelt in the US and the north of England in the UK. If we were to analyze this its hard to believe Dems have a shot anymore. The moderates were given a chance with Clinton and the extremists were given a chance with Corbyn. Both failed. If both ends of the party is not enough to sway the labour/dem voters from populist nationalism i wonder what is?

As to the OP - just as the brexit vote was a precursor to Trump getting elected I find the UK’s election a precursor to a surprising landslide for Trump and republicans next yr if the economy holds up, and it should. I understand there’s a global slowdown but the U.S. hasn’t felt it. If the rest of the world picks up we’ll do even better.

shitain doesnt deserve freedom. They literally have the greatest politician in the world in Farage and they scorn him. They deserve to be bootlickers to the franco/german eu.

Oh gee...How would this comment benefit an establishment Democratic candidate nitwit? As if Bernie Sander's popularity is just like that of the unpopular guy that lost in the UK.
    BLUEXIT
A Modest Proposal For Separating Blue States From Red

    Dear Red-State Trump Voter,
Let’s face it, guys: We’re done.

It is a tragedy that so much of the work that so many men and women toiled at for so long to make this a better country, and a better world, has been thrown away, leaving us all in such needless peril.

This is why our separation in all but name is necessary.
