Democratic Representative Rashida Tlai on Wednesday blamed “white supremacy” for Tuesday’s deadly shooting in Jersey City perpetrated by a couple with suspected ties to a black supremacist group.

“This is heartbreaking. White supremacy kills,” the Michigan Democrat wrote in a since-deleted tweet addressing the shooting. Tlaib deleted her tweet later on Thursday.

No, that's stupid. Whites have it way easy and it's fine if you don't see it as a privilege but it is. Just being able to rely on the police more is a privilege. I remember so many of the stories enough. Like a black man being harassed by the police because he was in a high-end store trying to purchase something. I guess a manager thought he looked like he didn't belong there. The black man shot when he was declaring his conceal carry weapon like he was supposed to. You could go on for days finding instances of these things. It doesn't take much as a white person to realize and admit your privilege. Some people don't see it as privilege though because they don't get anything really. It's just common everyday things that aren't much of a privilege. That is until you don't have them.

Privilege and poverty are 2 different things. You're taking privilege more in a sense of silver spoon wealth. That's entitlement by money and has nothing to do with race, gender, or any of those things. In your instance, you might want to think about the white person being able to handle homelessness with less harassment.
