What your radio and Fox demogogues aren't telling you is that this investigation didn't start in a vacuum, the first FISA application lays out Page's history, and Manaford, Trump's campaign manager, was already a subject of interest from past suspicion regarding Russian contacts. It is not a singular event, taken in it's context, it would have been a mistake not to stare the investigation

Keep in mind, it was this investigation, along with other intelligence activities, that showed us the extent of Russian involvement in our election, without it, you, Trump, and the right would be telling us today it really was as Trump said a fat kid sitting in Jersey who hacked the Emails and met with Russians

There can’t be a low bar to start an investigation AND ‘oh shit, I can believe they didn’t start an investigation’ all once. That’s contradictory.

In fact—since there turned out to be nothing to it, Horowitz would have nothing to say if the investigation was never started. Beyond maybe, atta boy guys, good work on not wasting time with that.

The million dollar question is this: when *exactly* was it known that there was nothing to the Trump/Russia investigation? Because it sure seems like it was apparent before the investigation was handed off to Mullet.
