You're a Conservative, Havana. I'm sure you will agree that the National Heath Service needs to be 'Privatized'.

Unlike you I know the difference between outsourcing and privatisation. Anyway it was Tony Blair that started down the 'privatisation' road. Any government that attempted to actually privatise would be signing their own death warrant.

That's Communism, Havana. The last thing you want is 'Public Hospitals', 'Doctors paid by the State', and ... 'Free Health Care'.
Don't worry Havana, America is on it's way to help you unbridle yourselves from the Yoke of Communism.

Jack, you do well to read this excellent article by Dominic Sandbrook, you might just learn something.

As for our public services, it is all very well to talk of thousands more nurses. But the reality — obscured by the mendacious drivel coming from Labour during the campaign — is that the NHS is creaking badly under the pressure of an ageing population.

Mr Johnson's instinct may well be to keep throwing more money at it, with NHS spending projected to rise by £20bn a year until 2024.

But at some point, a brave — or foolhardy — politician will have to consider serious reform, perhaps even emulating the insurance systems that work so well in countries such as France. Overshadowing all this is the issue of austerity. Mr Johnson was right to recognise that the public have tired of cuts.

There is only so far you can push people before their patience cracks, and many of us are horrified to see so many homeless on the streets.

    Deductible

The amount you pay for covered health care services before your insurance plan starts to pay. With a $2,000 deductible, for example, you pay the first $2,000 of covered services yourself.

After you pay your deductible, you usually pay only a copayment or coinsurance for covered services. Your insurance company pays the rest. Many plans pay for certain services, like a checkup or disease management programs, before you've met your deductible. Check your plan details.

All Marketplace health plans pay the full cost of certain preventive benefits even before you meet your deductible. Some plans have separate deductibles for certain services, like prescription drugs. Family plans often have both an individual deductible, which applies to each person, and a family deductible, which applies to all family members. Generally, plans with lower monthly premiums have higher deductibles. Plans with higher monthly premiums usually have lower deductibles.

BTW you can expect to hit that $2000 every year. And then they'll figure out ways not to pay for shit on top of that. And they'll charge you like a hundred a month and your employer like 500-1000 a month. Basically it will be like adding an extra rent check to everyone in your economy, except the money goes down a great big hole.

hahahahaha .... 'Deductible'. A quaint American term.

"The National Health Service (NHS) is the publicly funded national healthcare system for England and one of the four National Health Services for each constituent country of the United Kingdom. It is the largest single-payer healthcare system in the world. Primarily funded through the government and overseen by the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England provides healthcare to all legal English residents, with most services free at the point of use. Some services, such as emergency treatment and treatment of infectious diseases, are free for everyone, including visitors.[2]"

    Do you support Communism, Havana?
(why would you even think of supporting this 'Free Health Care' scheme?)

Couldn't get a Bangkok Post, they were sold out. You'll have to make do with the Pattaya Mail.

That's 'Socialism'! Why not let Investors get a crack at those poor people that are sick and will do anything to get better? There's money to be made on the Backs of the Unfortunates.
