And the good ones often get listed as a matter of formality even though the employer already has someone in mind for the position, they simply need to go through the motions to satisfy investors. The best jobs are filled by word of mouth. Or somebody worked in a related position and had their eye on the job for years, making sure they are the best qualified for it. Then when the time comes they move right into it.

If a job has to get listed out to the general public it is not a very desirable job. Nurse? They work their butts off. I know one who had to quit because the work was so demanding and stressful it was giving her high blood pressure and back pain. And she worked for a supervisor who made her life hell. Engineer? Guess which ones are open. Drilling rig. That's a job where ya don't get to go home at night. You'll be gone for weeks when you go to work. And it might be in some remote location where you can't leave the rig. 24-7 you'll be there with all the same people. Oh, and you'll be in a dangerous job. Truck driver? That's one of the most dangerous jobs in America. 30,000 people die every year on our highways. Very stressful job. Drivers are *so* courteous, you know. The highway is a 'friendly' place, yeah, right. And how long a career could that be with AI looming to eliminate drivers?

In total, a few hundred thousand well-paying jobs have been identified, and it's obvious why these lousy jobs remain unfilled. And that pales in comparison to the 44 million Americans who need well-paying jobs.
I don't agree with you at all there. I work in commercial real estate. There are lots of very good high paying jobs listed on public sites in my industry. I mean if Intel is looking for a new CEO they probably aren't going to market that on Indeed.com. But most jobs aren't CEO or CFO positions of large corporations. Google, Facebook, Apple etc. all list jobs on the web.

Most people do like to be awake in the daytime and sleep at night.
Then do something else if that's not the type of job you want.

I'm sure some people will work those jobs but a lot of people know better than to work for a large corporation. They are not human. Big corporations are immortal inhuman money making machines with no morals. They outlive us all, and that is a HUGE advantage over a living breathing mortal human in the quest for wealth. Big corporations USE humans. Humans have to tolerate the imposition of big corporations in their lives. That's backwards. What is the purpose of this country? Is it to serve the purposes of humans or corporations?

People used to worry about the government becoming big brother. Society got blindsided. Big brother is here and it ain't the government. It's big corporations. And we for CERTAIN need to grow our government to match the size and power of big corporations or we are screwed.

Buzzword fallacy. You don't even know what a shill is. Most shills do like the improvement of the economy under Trump's administration. They have more work.

Donations to a political candidate do not cause 'income and wealth disparity'. There is no such thing as 'income and wealth disparity'. Buzzword fallacy.

That is not a 'wealth disparity'. It is simply a difference in wage.
You are quite right with the rest, however. Wages are the result of price discovery in the marketplace.

Ok. Except people from all over the world come to the Bay Area to work for these firms. However you are going off on a whole other tangent. You claimed no good jobs get posted online or to the public. That is patently false.

corporations, companies and small & large business's need to use their tax breaks to PAY A LIVING WAGE....... that's the bottom line. I don't care if it's a car washer, burger flipper or retail worker, you shouldn't be able to make millions and billion of dollars and pay your workers slave wages.

    LOW WAGES ARE THE PROBLEM.

Americans are CONditioned to believe working at McDonalds isn't a serious job. People still have to do work.

The average CEO sits on his ass and dictates to others what to do and requires him to makes ton's of money?

Face it, man. Capitalism sucks the life out of society and gives it all to the richest at the expense of the poor. You can make all the excuses you want, blame the poor, that's BS.

The poor have no power. The movers and shakers are the rich and powerful. Their decisions produced this society.

He did make America great. Too bad you can't see it! You only look for misery, even if you have to manufacture it. The few farmers in question have already largely found new markets for their products. Trump doesn't control the weather or control China's tariffs.

I'm tellin you from experience. If those jobs are listed and unfilled there is a reason. And it is not because they are amazing desirable jobs and there is this big mystery that nobody wants them. And it's not something you can blame on the poor. Capitalism created some lousy jobs and the public knows it so nobody is working them.

The really good jobs are already taken.

You're in San Fransisco area, right? Well shoot. Everybody knows why there's plenty of high paying jobs available out there. Nobody can live there. It costs too much. Even with that high pay you still can't make it there. That's why those jobs are unfilled.

Who wants to pay a million dollars for an 800 sf house in a questionable area only a short 2 hour drive to work?

    On a tiny lot.

You're free to have an abstract discussion about all the good socialism would bring but what I was responding to was Flash posting the various job training's and opportunities available to people to help them grow their skills and employment options.
