Default Election Fraud - GOP Style!

Once again we see, when ELECTION FRAUD is committed, it's the GOP busy breaking the law.

GOP congressman facing voter fraud and perjury allegations for listing a UPS store as his residence

On Tuesday, the Topeka Capital-Journal reported that Rep. Steve Watkins (R-KS) is facing allegations of voter fraud and election perjury for lying about his residence on his voter registration form.

Watkins listed his address for voting purposes as 6021 S.W. 29th St. in Topeka, which is in fact a UPS store. His campaign contends that Watkins made the alteration by mistake, although state officials from both parties are calling for an investigation.

“Unless I’m mistaken, no one can live at a UPS store. It cannot be a place of residence,” said Republican state Rep. Blake Carpenter, who sits on the House Elections Committee. “This person undoubtedly voted in an election in November for candidates that he had no constitutional right to vote for. This is wrong and illegal. No one should be above the law.”

Election perjury is punishable under Kansas state law by fines of up to $100,000 and up to seven months in prison, while federal election fraud charges could lead to fines of up to $10,000 and as many as five years in prison.

Watkins, who narrowly won the open Second Congressional District in a closely-watched election in 2018, has already faced calls from his own party to resign over another unspecified scandal.

BFD, the guy made a simple mistake. I have a UPS store address myself, and use it for business and personal package delivery. There are signs at the store stating that it is an actual street address, not a PO box.

Just how do you know he made a mistake, and not intentional?

AT any moment one of our fraud-loving Reichwing friends will claim that this is fake news because Raw Story. Let's settle that right now.

"U.S. Rep. Steve Watkins’ decision to sign a Kansas voter registration form and two other election documents that asserted his residential address was a UPS Store in Topeka could constitute felony voter fraud under federal law and election perjury under state statute, officials said Tuesday.

"Shawnee County records show the first-term Republican listed his official residence as 6021 S.W. 29th St. in Topeka, which corresponds to a UPS Store, when he signed a form to change his residency for voter registration purposes in August, signed an application for a mail-in ballot in October and signed a document to complete advance voting for the November election.

"It isn’t clear where the congressman physically resided in Kansas after August nor what Topeka precinct he was legally qualified to be part of when voting in November. By asserting his place of residence to be the UPS Store, Watkins left the Topeka City Council’s 5th District for the city council’s 8th District. He then cast a November ballot in an 8th District contest decided by 13 votes."

Because he said so, and as a UPS address owner I find it reasonable that someone would make that mistake, and that is the only evidence presented in the article. All you have is an accusation.

if I lived at 15 Main st and accidentally used an address of 25 Main Street, that would be a mistake. But to use an address nowhere near where he lives, is intentional. Even republicans are asking for him to leave office.

Just how do you know it's intentional? If you claim it is, you must prove it. You seem to have a problem doing that on many things.

Not accepting a claim when no proof has been provided isn't giving anything. It's called lack of evidence, BOY.
