The student brought the gun to school, school officials tell the Journal Sentinel.

The suspect is in custody and the building is safe and secure, according to the Waukesha Police Department

The incident happened at about 10:30 a.m., according to a district official. Students will be let out of building at 11:15 a.m.

The school went on lockdown after that. Whittier Elementary School is also on lockdown, CBS 58 reports.

According to the Waukesha Freeman, a male was put into an ambulance on a stretcher.

I remember that one school shooting. They had an armed officer around but he skedaddled when assault weapons came into play.
