Booby trap or no, I don't think property should ever be protected using deadly force.
Not justifiable, not reasonable. There are always other ways to protect property without deadly force.
And with some spring loaded or "if enter, then death" contraption, all assessment of what is reasonable
is forfeited.

If it becomes self defense of the person against deadly force, that's a separate matter.
