Didn't they come to his home at 5:17 AM? Was he such a threat at that time in the morning? Was he outside banishing his weapon?

I'm not anti law enforcement, but if someone is banging on my door at that time in the morning, they'll be met by me with a handgun behind my back.
If it's an emergency or someone I know, I'm sure they'll understand why I have a gun because I live in a rural area. If it's a cop, I'll tell them I have it
and put it down. I sure wouldn't expect them to rush in and try to disarm me in my own home!

Difficulty for the subject is exactly what the law wants; it wants your submission to the law, then working out what is going on.

Obey the cop if you life and limb are not at risk in doing so. It's a crime if you dont and you will be held liable.

If you unlawfully point a gun at a cop, TTQ64, he does become judge, jury, and executioner because you put your life lawfully into his or her hands.

I am not a fan of anyone getting shot. My point is that if the cops say to stop and put your hands up, it's fascinatingly moronic to NOT expect a bullet in the back while running away.
