The statin Toadstool is on -- Crestor -- is a pretty potent drug. One side effect is "brain fog" that can mimic early-stage dementia. A lot of patients (my brother is one of them) stop taking it for that reason. I wonder if that isn't part of the Extortionist-in-Chief's cognitive problems?

I doubt if Trump was on Crestor in college.

    Maybe he's having a "meltdown" !

That's a very good point. If he changed his diet and lost weight, would he (trump) be able to quit taking the drug?

Possibly. My brother had a relatively minor stroke a couple of years ago and was prescribed the lowest dose of Crestor. He reported that within a week he had trouble remembering things. Even speaking coherently was difficult. He would try to relate things and fished for common words, which we helpfully supplied. He researched the drug and decided to make lifestyle changes instead of medication. He's always been very active and athletic, so he stepped that up too. Two or three weeks after discontinuing the Crestor his cognition was back to normal. He lost 30 lbs. His cholesterol is only slightly elevated now. He's older than Trump at age 76. He did all this under his physician's supervision, of course. He walks or bikes several miles daily, and spends at least an hour daily in meditation. His diet is a lot better now too. So it can be done.

Crestor blocks all types of cholesterol. Your brain needs the lipids to function, so it only makes sense that it can cause cognition problems.

Actually, it's yet another example of the benefits trumpf got from selling his soul to the Devil when young - he gets all the effects of heavy drinking without paying money for it.

Trump had to go to see the proctologist this week after suffering some accute rectal pain!

The doctors immediately threw him up on the observation table for a rectal exam and discovered Sean Hannity and Giuliani playing a game of wack-a-mole up his ass!

Of course the Wet Brain Syndrome victim would think that.

And here's your Acme Attention Whore Treat for the week, my dear. You can quit following me around now twerking for my attention. It's unseemly at your advanced age, you know.

Trump's obvious dementia is sadly representative of the insanity pervasive within his legions of Trumpanzee minions.

The socially regressive elements of our nation have worked mightily against our potential for greatness throughout the history of our nation.

I compare socialized medicine to abolition in many ways. Socialized medicine is the standard throughout the civilized developed world.
There is no question that eventually, we'll go way beyond Medicare for All and have a National Health Service as good as the United Kingdom's.
History shows us this. It's inevitable.

But, just as we were the last nation in Western Civilization to abolish slavery, we'll be just as late to the socialized medicine party as we were with abolition.
America has the potential to be the leaders in every positive respect, but it doesn't happen because the most ignorant pockets of our population are wildly over-represented
in our government. The founders weren't quite as clever as we credit them for being. They designed a stunningly inefficient government that has stunted our development right from the beginning. Our potential, provided by the world's greatest tract of resource-loaded real estate between two great oceans, eventually overcomes our inefficient government and we get where we need to be...but always late. Never on time.

This internet forum alone illustrates the stunningly stupid and ignorant elements that we have serving as an anchor on the accomplishments of our far more capable and intellectually capable citizens. This is a microcosm of our nation's overall problem. The Bullshit Blobs have a vote. The banjofucks have a vote. All the cretins crawl about the sparsely populated central states that have two senators, just like New York and California, and the enlightened, from the beginning of our nation, have to take two steps forward to make one step of progress.

Anybody with two functioning brains cells can clearly see this. What to do about it is the question.

It’s almost like Reagan’s final years in office. Others were really handling his duties. Soon it may become something akin to Weekend at Bernie’s.
