Speaking of heart disease. Trump has it and made a surprise visit the Walter Reed yesterday. Totally out of the blue. Caught everybody by surprise.

He claims it was part of his annual physical exam. Problem is that it's not due until February.

One source indicates he was experiencing chest discomfort.

    One can only hope.

When talking about how we as a country deal with health care, I've always felt that preventative measures, like an annual physical, should be something that is provided for free or minimal cost to all Americans who meet the income qualification guidelines.

A national catastrophic illness insurance program for people who can't afford private insurance would be great, too.

My brother has angioplasty when he was in his 40s. He swam every day and played tennis. He was a near vegetarian and his weight was ideal. He was back at work in a week after the procedure. He asked his doctor what he got from doing everything right. The doc said,"you were back to work in a week".

They've been teaching healthy nutrition in public schools for years.

I don't think school curriculums or budgets have room for required cooking classes.

They have. But notice when it became Michelle Obama's program choice, the right just shit all over themselves.

Well let's face it... tirelessly working, promoting and advocating good nutrition and exercise especially for our nation's youth as she did, doesn't carry anywhere near the importance of saying "Be best" a couple of times, then disappearing into the WH or 5th Ave NYC penthouse in order to hide from the public spotlight brought upon you by your embarrassment of a husband.

Statins are a scam. Big Pharma latched on to this 40 or so years ago. They are not necessary.
The body makes its cholesterol, about 3,000mg a day. Both HDL & LDL are good. They deliver
what is needed for good brain health. Ever since doctors started pumpin' this stuff into people
(mainly over 60) there's been a huge spike in Alzheimer's and deaths from the disease. The
standard generalized lab tests most of us get once a year with our check-ups mean little with
those generalized cholesterol, HDL & LDL figures. The Tri's matter. That's about it. It's not about
the LDL number you see in the results. I started requesting my doctor give me an NMR test for my
cholesterol (LipoProteins). This one tells you the CONDITION of the LDL particles.
Are small & sense? Not too good. Are they large & fluffy? Excellent. You could have sky high LDL
and as long as the particles are in good shape, you're in great health and your LipoPtroteins
are getting delivered to your brain and other areas of your body that REQUIRES daily deliveries
    of good quality LDL.

I'll post more on this in a bit.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

Point being that there are lots of factors and how they impact each person is different. People say exercise and diet matter. They appear to in general, but not in specific.

Sugar & carbs are killing people......not healthy fats and protein.
