indeed. it's partisan hack job. I doubt it even gets a majority in the sSenate
If people are not watching how do they know it's a 'partisan hack job?' Basically, you're not talking about 'people' in general. You're talking about Trump fans. They are the ones who are certain it's a partisan hack job. People in general have very widely varying understandings. But thanks to impeachment dominating the news they are learning fast.

Any impartial person watching the hearings can easily see who is focused on party and who is focused on facts.

Democrats have not even mentioned Republicans or partisanship. Democrats have been all about the facts of the case, hearing from witnesses, building a solid case.

Republicans have railed on and on about Democrats and procedure.

That tells you a big thing right there. Republicans have no substance to defend Trump with. That's why they are trying to make it about anything but the facts, repeatedly attacking Democrats and the proceedings.

If Trump is not removed from office by the US Senate it will bring disgrace and dishonor to the US Senate. It should not be legal to leverage foreign aid in return for personal political favors. No President should be given that much power, the power to do that and not be held accountable. The House is given the responsibility to oversee the President.

The House is the House of We, the People. If President Trump is impeached, then that means The People of the nation have lost faith in him, and believe he needs to be removed.

    The Senate
is the Conference of States. If the States feel that they know better than The People, then they had better be very sure The People don't vote the Senators out in the next election.

Trump fans are never going to agree with any crime Trump is charged with, bribery included. Democrats are not letting him off the hook. The deciding factor is the moderate middle. Are they prepared to defend Trump in this as they learn more about just why he is being impeached? Pelosi is making it very easy to understand now. Trump tried to bribe Zelenski into announcing a Biden investigation by offering him US taxpayer funded military aid Zelenski was supposed to get anyway.

We shall soon see how the moderate non-committed middle reacts to THAT.

The case is still being built. It's dominating the news...

More and more people are learning what's going on...

    Hello Darth,

Itís *boring* lol. Mostly, because the witnesses that democrats are calling arenít material witnesses to any crime. Even though Common Joeís might not get the terminologyóthey get the point. Democrats are expecting the Ďnot already convincedí to follow their convoluted legal reasoning and they canít even settle on bribery, extortion or QPQ.

And yes, that absolutely deserves an lol.

If Democrats want to send articles to the Senate, fine. But this is all academic till they vote on it. If they do, Trump will no longer be the democrats piŮata; republicans will call Hunter Biden along with the WB and if democrats resist they will simply vote it down.

Declaring it DOA on arrival isnít out of the question, either. There are Senate rules that stipulate that all impeachment trials arenít worth having simply because the House sends it over. The rule was intended to prevent strictly partisan impeachmentís from occurring.

And itís not worth having, because Democrats donít have any actual evidence that stands up to the transcript: itís document vs hearsay.

    So, go for it.
If Senators do their job it is their responsibility to represent all the people of their States, not just one party. They need to actually look at the evidence, of which there is a considerable amount.

Anybody who thinks they know how all those Senators are going to vote is assuming that they are prejudiced and their votes can be predicted by their designated Party. Are your Senators prejudiced or fair minded?

Only one party is behaving in a partisan way so far. That party is the Republican Party. Democrats have been all about the facts, rarely if ever even talking about the Republicans. Republicans on the other hand have been all about the Democrats and the procedure. (That tells you they don't have much of a defense, no substance to work with.)

Trump fans who believe this is a partisan impeachment are fooling themselves.

If Democrats wanted to overturn an election it makes no sense to wait 3 years before doing it.

Logically, an attempt to do it at such a point in the election cycle, when the next election is right around the corner would only be undertaken because of extraordinary circumstances. Like when it became apparent the President is working against the Country. And that's what Trump did when he tried to use our taxpayer funded aid as leverage to get a personal political favor.

He even called it 'A FAVOR' on the Phone Call!

Nobody waits 3 years to try to overturn an election. That's ridiculous. If you are trying to overturn an election, you don't sit back and allow the winner to preside for 3/4 of a term before you try to undo it. If you never wanted him in at all, you would try to undo it right away. It is rather striking, the BS you guys have to accept in order to explain your bizarre theories. 'How to overturn an election. First, wait 3 years. Then start an impeachment during the next election cycle.' Nope. Makes no sense.

Trump is dirty. If Republicans let him off the hook and the people feel differently then Republicans will pay for that in the next election.

And let me make a little comment about the next election. Supposed Republicans fail to remove Trump from office:

Trump is angering a lot of people. This is going to cause a big turn-out in the 2020 election. Big turn-out elections generally go for the Democrat. Democrats have a lot of 'sleeper voters.' Republicans don't.

They didnít wait three years lol.

Mullet was appointed in the Spring of Trumpís first year. Mullet didnít provide the road map to impeachment. Within six weeks democrats Ďfoundí a WB/leaker and now we have this Ukrainian nothing Burger.

Not only have democrats Ďnot waitedí they have been absolutely *relentless* in their efforts to impeach Trump.
Coup has started. First of many steps. Impeachment will follow ultimately~WB attorney Mark Zaid, January 2017

    Q. Can you figure out why Dems haven't mentioned partisanship?
    A. Because they are playing the strong hand of the majority to thwart due process
