If the bribee (sic) says that there was no bribe...

“Ukraine’s president says there was no blackmail in Trump call”
    CNBC.com

    Lol

First it was collusion, then obstruction, then bribery.

    What next, infantacide?

Interesting, the public should have all the facts.

Where have you read that the Republicans in the Senate will sweep it under the rug? McCuntell has said he will have a trial. I fully want him to have a trial that takes at least three months or more so it sucks up the primary where six of your democrats won't be able to campaign.

    I will love that

They would if they could get away with it, Democrats are holding these hearings so they cannot get away with it.

Is that what you really think is happening?

Whatever you need to tell yourself

I will enjoy watching six democrats sit in Senate hearings while others campaign before the Iowa Caucus

    Should be fun

They will have a Senate hearing and find him innocent. It will be on a party line vote and Americans will see that democrats have wasted their time. Nobody cares about your charade except your fellow leftists

Agree, but sometimes I wonder if that was intended. The public is more aware of rumors about Biden than if he had succeeded in getting the Ukraine to investigate.

Yeah...every time I think that Trump has a strategy, I just remember that he doesn't because that requires work and listening to others, which are two things he just doesn't do.

But he has good instincts about using the media to his advantage. Suggest you are a victim of sinister conspiracy theories (deep state, media) and your supporters (fellow victims) jump to your defense.

If you are involved in bribery you are not going to admit you committed a crime. (I'm not suggesting this was bribery in a criminal sense).

Former Governor John Connolly was charged with bribery and both parties denied it occurred. The other person was convicted and Connolly was not guilty.

Yeah, but I don't think you can lean on that for too long before it becomes implausible and played out. Who wants to vote for a whiner?

It has worked for 3+ years starting with the birther stuff.

A PBS poll shows 2/3 of Americans will not change their mind regardless of what information comes from the hearings.
