    Gregg Jarrett: The Trump impeachment inquiry is already in big trouble. Here's who Democrats have to thank:

    The clown show known as an "impeachment inquiry" is getting more comical and hapless by the day.

    Consider the latest remark from the circus master himself, California Rep. Adam Schiff, (think Bozo, not Pennywise). The Democratic chairman of the House Intelligence Committee says he doesn’t want Republicans turning the impeachment proceedings into a “sham.” The hilarious irony is lost on no one. Schiff has already managed to accomplish it all on his own.

    At first, Schiff wanted the faux “whistleblower” who triggered the impeachment farce to testify. Then, suddenly, he didn’t. What changed? In the interim, evidence emerged that Schiff and/or his staff colluded with the “whistleblower” before the complaint was ever filed and then lied about it, earning Schiff “Four Pinocchios” from The Washington Post.

    GREG JARRETT: WHISTLEBLOWER NOT ENTITLED TO ANONYMITY — HE'S AN INFORMANT ACTING AS A DEMOCRATIC OPERATIVE

    The chairman now wants to conceal his own role in engineering the pretext for impeachment and his subsequent deceit. This is why he has insisted that the “whistleblower” remain anonymous, despite no such right, guarantee, privilege, or entitlement written in the law, as I explained in an earlier column. Even though the undercover informant (reportedly working for the CIA) does not qualify for whistleblower status under the law as determined by the Department of Justice, any effort by Republicans to call him as a witness will be blocked by Schiff.

    They have painted themselves into a corner with all this ill conceived nonsense.
    The least horrible escape is to shut it down and throw ip their hands and say 'they'll just laugh it off in the senate' and head out to the campaign trail.

    What a confused and crazy post that was. There is a simple and clear mission starting tomorrow. It is to show that Trump had a quid pro quo with Zelensky in Ukraine. Then he lied about it. He was asking Zelensky to announce an investigation of the Bidens. He did not have to launch one, just announce it and that would help Trump campaign against Joe.
    There will be many who will testify that they were there and know that is what Trump did. That is all.
    The Reds think they have a right to use that format to charge some crazy conspiracy shit and deflect the investigation from the inside.

    So my question about the upcoming "sworn" testimony we will soon see. . .

    Can you really swear to be truthful in your recollection of what your impression was of someone else's impression of what someone else said they heard someone else say?

    I've been listening to Jarrett talk about this for months now. He's put together an incredibly damaging series of events, all back up by facts.
    • The "Whistleblower" is a DNC operative and plant;
    • The plant tries for months if not years to get damaging information and can't, confers with Schiff;
    • Schiff and Democrats change the rules on whistle blowing, toss out centuries of jurisprudence and allow hearsay testimony;
    • Plant fabricates his version of a phone call that he did not hear himself, confers with Schiff then "blows the whistle";
    • Ignoring the rules they just re-wrote, Schiff keeps the Blower anonymous, but everyone knows who it is;
    • Ignoring centuries of jurisprudence, Schiff denies the accused all due process....

    Well, I doubt Vindman will be testifying, Ratcliffe nearly walked Vindman into a UCMJ Article 92 along with an Article 88 violation (see pages 158-161 of Vindman's testimony).

    Ratcliffe gets Vindman to stipulate that President Trump is Lt. Col Vindman’s superior and the President alone sets foreign policy.

    Vindman testifies that he thought the President was trying to establish an agreement with Zelenskyy that Vindman did not agree with and shortly thereafter Vindman began giving contrary instructions to Ukranian government officials, to ignore the President, Vindman admits telling Ukrainian government officials to stay out of these affairs, to not get involved.

    Vindman’s lawyer sees where Ratcliffe's questioning is going and flips out.

    As much as I would like to see a repeat of that on live TV, I doubt it will happen.

    Lo and behold, next week's scheduled "witnesses" have been publicized and Vindman is scheduled for Nov 19.

    Just for info sake, some of the others are on the R's request list.

    Here's the schedule I've seen so far:

    Nov 19
    Jennifer Williams
    Kurt Volker
    Alexander Vindman
    Tim Morrison

    Nov20
    Gordon Sondland
    Laura Cooper
    David Hale

    Nov 21
    Fiona Hill

    In his deposition, Vindman conceded that the call transcript was “very accurate” and it “could be interpreted in different ways”.

    Republicans are bound to visit that lol. And even though Schiff will be running the show he won’t get away with shutting down ‘inconvenient’ lines of inquiry like he did in the closed hearing.

    People will be watching this time.
