I saw that yesterday.

A senate trial may not even take place. And by disallowing republican witnesses democrats are giving republicans justification to pull the plug on impeachment before it even hits the senate floor. Assuming, democrats get around to having an actual impeachment vote lol. That’s not a given IMO.

Then, Poof.

Democrats have gone about this all wrong. If the case against Trump is such a slam dunk they would have no reason to disallow republican witnesses. All they have are excuses. If they have the goods on Trump it shouldn’t matter who republicans call—and that is obvious to the independent minded.

Like I basically said on another thread, Schiff is a liability: not only does he have zero credibility but he allowed himself to become a fact witness. Again, if their case was so rock solid, Pelosi should have replaced him with Nadler or whoever, the moment it came out that Schiff was even peripherally involved with the *democrats lead witness*.

So, since it gives the appearance of being an orchestrated set up—democrats may well have given Senate republicans an early Christmas present.
