That would void the warranty. When you can afford to buy a new car and the engine needs replaced because some dumb hicks in Alabama don’t know how to clean metal shavings off the parts, you still have to take it to the dealer where some dumbass works on it and gets replaced by an immigrant when he gets caught shooting up in the bathroom.
try and follow what I wrote this time..."Californians have been taking their equity and moving to places like Spokane and Boise for years and this moron is just finding out about it. They burn through the equity and move back to California because there are no jobs for them in Idaho or Spokane."

It's rare to find metal shavings in oil, the filter catches them unless catastrophic engine failure occurs. In some instances, extremely fine particles can be found in new engine oil due to improper break-in or not changing oil soon enough. That problem happened mostly in older engines from that era.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

You're talking catastrophic engine failure. Ever snap a timing belt on an '81 Escort? There's not enough valve clearance and the piston comes up and smacks the open valve, all kinds of bad shit happens. They did fix the problem, but I never researched how. I would have shortened the rods, buts that's me.
There's a big difference between "metal shavings" and minute particles in the oil.
