By declaring that any state, county, or city can decide to disobey and defy legitimately enacted federal laws, just on preference alone (thereby undoing their dismissal of legal concepts such as nullification), Democrats have opened up ALL jurisdictions to this complete and utter disregard for the rule of law on ALL legislation. Exhibit A: Jurisdictions now declaring themselves gun law sanctuaries. It's nice to see Democrats finally acknowledging states' rights and the conservative concept that all the power should be kept at the lowest level, where the individual has maximum control over his own life and existence...but I thought "no one was above the law." This is not the first time Democrats have demonstrated the validity of nullification as a defense against (what they absurdly perceive as) federal tyranny. They've also done it with drug laws, the REAL ID Act, and several others. Side note: The first jurisdiction to declare itself a sanctuary from illegal gun laws, Obamacare, the IRS, and endless Democrat attacks on the 1st Amendment will have my tax dollars for life.

But yeah, leave it to Democrats to demonstrate the merits of conservative principles and ideas while trying to fight, smear, and dismiss them.

Most gun control laws violate the Constitution. The major reason that they pass court scrutiny is because the justices are biased against the 2nd Amendment. If SCOTUS actually applied their own strict scrutiny standard to cases involving the 2nd, most of those laws would fail.

That sobriquet, the "Gunshine State", was an invention of the control freaks back when Florida became the first state to issue concealed carry permits. The control freaks were freaking out that the streets would be running with blood. Of course, they were just freaking out, the usual paranoid fantasies. Most of what problem with gun violence that Florida has, as in the rest of the country, is due to our incredibly stupid drug laws, not concealed carry.

Nobody wants to nullify it, the Third Amendmant isn't nullified, but it can be regulated, just as all the other Constitutional rights are regulated

The court tends to apply a "strict scrutiny" standard in cases involving regulation of other Constitutional rights. Not so much when it involves the 2nd.

I didn’t say that the Second Amendment can’t be regulated, just that it can’t be nullified.

The left has been trying, for a hundred years, to nullify the Second and it will not happen, especially with the Supreme Court as now constituted. More Justices to be appointed in the next five years of the Trump Administration.

Actually, it was the right that began nibbling away at the 2nd, after the Civil War, in order to keep the newly-freed slaves from being able to defend themselves.

Wrong, proven by the fact you can not show us where any meaningful effort was made to actually nullify the Second Amendment. Regulating guns is not nullifying the Second Amendmemt, just as having to get a permit to have a parade doesn't nullify the First Amendment

And you are incorrect again on the SCOTUS, even with the whacky precedents set by the Holder Case even Scalia in his majority opinion warned none of it was absolute

Funny, but "shall not be infringed" certainly sounds pretty absolute.
