~ "...But Mr. Parnas’s account, while potentially significant, is being contradicted on several fronts. None of the people involved dispute that the meeting occurred, but Mr. Parnas stands alone in saying the intention was to present an ultimatum to the Ukrainian leadership. "~

We have to get used to all this. Dems have to keep going with all kinds of people who have opinions
on Trump. And, they've got to keep this in the House where they have control.
They are now and will be just eating up time because THIS is their campaign. They don't want it all
to go to the Senate where the soap opera hits a dead end.
This is all they've got folks.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
pain in abortion.
Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

Hello StoneByStone,
I'm sure there were a lot of people who couldn't bring themselves to vote for Hillary OR Trump who sat out the 2016 election; but whom would be motivated to vote for a centrist Dem candidate who wasn't carrying a crushing load of baggage like Hillary was. Especially if it means preventing 4 more years of Trump.
A Dem candidate could muster more new votes motivated simply to vote AGAINST the Republican candidate. The Republican candidate can't really attract many more votes than were already cast. There's no new pool of potential Trump voters out there, but there is a huge pool of potential NeverTrump voters.

Wanting them is one thing, believing we can afford them or that they would ever get passed into law is another thing altogether.
What makes you think Yang or anyone else is going to get the GOP to vote for a free $500 per month handout to every American, when they sabotaged Obamacare and refused to increase eligibility for Medicaid so that working people who can't afford private insurance could be covered? And this was in spite of conservative organisations like The Chamber of Commerce endorsing the plan? Now it is true that the president needs to work with congress, but that's where compromise comes in. Maybe Andrew Yang can't get us $1000 a month, but he's able to get us $500. However, if the nominee is an establishment-approved Centrist, things stay the same, which doesn't motivate people to get out and vote. Hillary Clinton isn't terrible, but she's bad enough that people didn't care enough to come out in droves to vote for her.
I'd rather see a solid Dem majority in both houses and let Trump suffer through that than put a twit like Warren or a self-interested BS artist and coronary in waiting like Sanders in the WH.Now with all that being said, I'm going to vote Democrat no matter who the nominee is, because there is no way anyone could be worse than Trump. However, I think a true Leftist outside of the establishment would have a much better chance of beating Trump than Biden would.
Biden still polls better than any other candidate against Trump.
Plus, keep in mind, Biden pulls in the black vote much better than any other Dem in the race.
C'MON MAN!!!!
Hillary definitely had more baggage than Biden, but Biden has a fair amount of his own. And Biden really isn't popular among the Left. So the same way lots of Leftists and left-leaning Centrists weren't motivated to vote for Hillary, I think the same thing is likely to happen with Biden. Both are status-quo establishment-approved Centrists who don't want change.
Andrew Yang said something that I think is 100% true. "When we talk about Trump, we're losing." Some people will vote against Trump, but most voters don't vote against candidates. Rather, they vote for candidates. So while Trump probably isn't gaining anymore supporters, what matters is if the Democrat nominee can get enough people to vote for them. I can't see Biden achieving that.A Dem candidate could muster more new votes motivated simply to vote AGAINST the Republican candidate. The Republican candidate can't really attract many more votes than were already cast. There's no new pool of potential Trump voters out there, but there is a huge pool of potential NeverTrump voters.
