Why Australia is expecting a long and dangerous summer

What is summer going to look like?

    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-50581813
Remember the hole in the Ozone Layer ? It never closed fully after CFC gases were banned. As a result of that depletion skin cancer is rife in Australia. The worldwide use of CFCs was, in fact, creating skin cancer for Australians.
Now Australia is one of the front-line countries for feeling the effects of global warming. Of course, the Australian government comprises a self-serving bunch of semi-educated assholes , just like ours, who deny the obvious and continue to promote fossil-fuel burning. So it's really a case of assisted suicide. However, what's happening in Australia is going to be replicated elsewhere. This is just the beginning of the end of your life-style as you know it.

About 100 bushfires are raging in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW), with the most severe forming into a "mega blaze" north of Sydney.

More than 2,000 firefighters are battling bushfires, which escalated in intensity late on Thursday.

Footage of one blaze on the southern fringe of the city showed firefighters fleeing as flames surged forward.

Australians flee as soaring heat, winds threaten more bush fires

More than 100 fires ablaze in New South Wales and Victoria states as temperatures top 40 degrees Celsius in some areas.

Residents in parts of eastern Australia abandoned their homes on Tuesday as soaring temperatures and strong winds threatened to fan bushfires in a giant blaze north of Sydney, the country's biggest city.

Air quality in parts of Sydney plunged as the city awoke on Tuesday to another thick blanket of smoke, disrupting transport services and prompting health warnings from authorities.

More than 100 fires are ablaze in New South Wales (NSW) and Victoria states, many of which have been burning since last month.

Sydney's air 11 times worse than 'hazardous' levels as Australia's bushfires rage

Buildings evacuated as fire alarms triggered and ferry fleet grounded

Sydney disappeared behind a thick layer bushfire smoke that blanketed the city and pushed air quality 11 times higher than considered “hazardous” on Tuesday, while Australia’s weary firefighters faced what authorities warned were the potentially “lethal” combination of high temperatures and heavy winds.

Across Sydney, buildings were evacuated regularly as fire alarms were triggered at random. During the morning commute, the sound of the ferries using their fog horns due to the poor visibility filled the area surrounding the harbour before the entire fleet was finally grounded.

Schools kept children inside during their lunch break and face masks became a regular accoutrement as Sydney’s landmarks were lost in the haze.

NSW residents in path of 370,000ha bushfire told it's 'too late to leave'
Western Australia emergency continues as massive fire burns from Lithgow to Central Coast in NSW

Residents in the path of the blaze in the Wollemi National Park, northwest of Sydney have been told it’s too late to leave as the fire pushes closer to their homes.

An emergency warning was issued for the Gospers Mountain blaze, which is almost 370,000 hectares in size, on Sunday afternoon.

The NSW Rural Fire Service says the fire has crossed Bowen Creek, south of Mount Wilson. The blaze is moving towards Mount Wilson, Mount Irvine, Mount Tomah and Berambing and winds are creating spot fires ahead of the main fire front. The agency also advised that winds are creating spot fires ahead of the main fire front.

Residents have been warned that fire activity in these areas is increasing.
